Chapter 9

The little room feels much smaller than usual. Like there is something outside pressing against the windows, aching to come in. Maybe it is the noise. It is probably the noise. Tap. Tap. Tap. A thousand, million taps at once. A clanking sound could be heard from the sky. It was as if a huge anvil was being dragged across the vault of heaven against its will.

Jieun decided to rest her weary head for a while and enjoy the spiritual song of nature. Resting her head on the bed, she drifted away into infinity, letting the locked-away memories of joyful times steal into her dreams. A drowsy smile played on Jieun's lips and she floated into slumberland.

When she woke up she found out that the rain had already stopped. She opened the window and rubbed her eyes for a better view. The decent smell of the rain was very clean, the wet concrete had a peculiar scent to it that Jieun can't really describe. Her phone abruptly started ranging, she took her phone to see who it was, a small smile appear on her face. she answer the call after reading the caller ID.

"Hello? Jieun? " the person on the other side of the phone asked.

" Yeah it's me, Is something I can do? " she asked the person while walking to the kitchen. She took the water bottle from the fridge and poured it in the glass.

" mhmm. For your Job did you forgot that? " the boy said. Hearing the boys words Jieun choked on the water she was drinking, she totally forgot about her job interview.

" I'm so sorry I totally forㅡ  can you please send me the address"

" Okay I'll send you the address "

Jieun nodded although knowing that Taehyung can't see her. In actual fact she forgot that she is broke and have to find a job.

"Um can I asked you something? " the boy asked out of the blue. She make a hum sound as an answer.

" Ah... Is everything okay? You seems tired, if so then I'll cancel the meeting "

Jieun startled by his sudden question, she clear her throat before answering

" um yeah I'm alright don't worry about it"

" You sure? "

" Yup " jieun let out giggled.

" Ok then meet near bangtan bus station"

" ok...."

At BUS STATION :-

Jieun search for Taehyung and finally spotted him. " There he is" she cheered out in victory. She stromed towards the bench he was sitting.

She sit beside him catching Taehyung off guard.

" you startled me " Taehyung stated offering a boxy smile.

Jieun snorted, " I'm sorry "

" it's ok, um bus is 10 minutes late today due to rain so we have to wait "

" Oh ok "

The atmosphere was filled with silenced. Jieun thought to break the silence as a thought was bothering her since the other day.

" Um do you like me? " Jieun asked giving the boy beside her a no expression look. She quickly regret asking it when she saw how it make the boy uncomfortable. Damn it Jieun.

" whaㅡ what do you mean? "
