Chapter 6

" I Love you? "

"Huh! " the word left from Jieun's mouth. looking at her current face expression anyone can find out that she is shocked as hell by the boy's words.

Silence feel the atmosphere, as both of them were staring at each other. Embarrassment got the best of the girl.

" Uh.. I.. I mean I'm here to take my umbrella back remember " the boy spoke breaking the silence. He offered Jieun an awkward smile.

" U..oh so sorry I forgot to return that " She was continuously bowing in front of Taehyung, “ but how did you know my address? ”

“ Ah! It's actually I ask the cafe owner, I know you must thinking me as some creep but trust me I'm not ” the boy let out an inaudible chuckle.

“ It's fine it's my bad that I borrowed your thing but forgot to ask how to return it...wanna come inside " the girl make way for Taehyung to enter her house. He nodded and enter the apartment.

" Please take a seat "

Taehyung nodded and sit on the sofa. Jieun went to her kitchen. Meanwhile, the boy was inspecting the house, suddenly his eyes met a photo album, a little girl was holding a puppy in it. He hold the picture in his hand and started admiring it, he didn't realise that Jieun was behind him.

"That's me and that was my pet dog Duri btw coffee " she smile at the boy and took the picture from his hand.

Taehyung eek seeing the coffee but he thought it will disrespectful to the girl if he didn't drink so he kept his mouth quiet, and force himself to drink that. His experience quickly changed to disgusted one after taking a sip but somehow he managed to spoke.

" you have a dog? "

" umm actually not, Duri died 2 years ago " Jieun offers Taehyung a faint smile.

" Oh I'm so sorry for that " He tried to comfort her.

" Btw Taehoon did you found your watch, " The girl asked?

"it's Taehyung " He corrected her and in response, Jieun smacked her forehead slightly and mouthed sorry, he gave her an assuring smile saying it's ok.

" Yeah, thank God I found it " he took his hand near his chest and sigh which make Jieun chuckled.

Taehyung courageously take another sip of the coffee and began to spoke.

" Uh, are you looking for a job? " he asked Jieun when he saw the red circles on the newspaper placed on the table.

“ ah it was—”

" My aunt runs a coffee shop and she needed some worker, so would you like to work there "

Jieun thinks for a moment. She smiled at Taehyung and nodded " yes I of course would, "

" Ok then tomorrow at 10:00 am, I will send you the address "

Jieun nodded and soon realised that they didn't exchange their phone numbers.

" But you don't have my number, wait give me your phone " Taehyung gave his phone to her. Jieun typed her number in his phone and gave it back to him.

" Thanks" that's what all Taehyung said.

" Thank you too " a big smile appear on Jieun's face.

Time passes and they started talking about each other. An hour had passed both of them were still talking. It was strange for Jieun because she rarely feels comfortable around strangers but Taehyung's friendly behaviour make Jieun forgot that they are strangers to each other.

Jieun let out a chuckle " Oh really then I'll love to meet your hyungs "

Taehyung nodded and offer her his boxy smile. Suddenly, his phone started ringing, he picks up the phone. It was his hyung.

" I have to go now, see you tomorrow " Taehyung waved and left Jieun's apartment.

At night :

Jieun come out of the washroom after freshening up, she went to her room, she took her phone from the table to see if Taehyung text her but instead of that she saw 2 missed calls from her mother. She call her mother and she quickly answered.

" Mom you'd called me "

" Yeah, I called you to inform you that tomorrow you have to come here " her mom speak from the other side of the phone.

" Come there, but why"

" your father's friend and his son his coming for dinner tomorrow and I want you to be here with the house "

" But I don't want to- " she got interpreted by her mother.

" I don't need excuses you, you have to come at least think about your dad's reputation "

As Jieun was about to say no her mother hung up the phone. She throw her phone in the bed and groaned in annoyance.

" They always do that, " she mumbled to herself. " they never thought about my feelings, " Jieun pull out her hairs in frustration.

She shakes the thought of their parents and tried to sleep. Starring at the ceiling she was busy in her own thoughts when her phone vibrated indicating someone text her, she unlock her phone to see who text her, it was from an unknown number.

Jieun had to cancel it in order to go to her parents house for so-called dinner. She was tired of it. She close her eyes and try to sleep soon she drifted off to dreamland.
