The line goes dead and I sigh while falling down on my bed. But just a minute or five later, my phone rings again, and I look who's calling me. It's Calum. Without hesitating I press the ignore button. Does he really think I want to talk to him right now? I lay my phone down on my desk. Then I walk downstairs, but while I'm walking I hear my phone ring again. I ignore the urge to go upstairs, knowing that it's Calum again. I walk out of the house. On my way to the park. It's cold and slippery outside, but I walk carefully with a steady pace to keep myself from falling. The park is my favorite place to be when I'm stressed. Often I sit there reading a book, or just staring straight ahead. I sit down on a bench and put my hood up. I just sit there for a while, staring at the people who are passing by. I must look like an idiot, but I don't care. I just need to be away from my house for a bit.
When I get too cold I walk home again, only to find my sister looking very annoyed. "What?" I say and she sihs. "Please put your phone on silent. It drives me crazy, it just keeps ringing." I grin at her and walk over to my room to check my phone. I look at the caller history and I notice that I have twenty-four missed calls. Half of them is from Calum and the other half is from Ashton. I wonder what Ashton wants to tell me and decide to call him back. I don't think that Calum or Luke has told him what Calum has done. Maybe he found out on his own. Just after one ring, he picks up. "Hey Sara!" he says in a cheerful voie and that immediately puts a smile on my face. He seems happy to speak to me, so I don't think he knows what happened. "Hi Ash, how are you?" I ask and he says, "Well, a little exhausted, what about you? I miss Amsterdam already, I had so much fun yesterday!" "Yeah, me too, " I say, trying to sound as happy as I can, "We really have to meet again." "Absolutely, but I think I can arrange something for you if you like. We are playing in Italy in four months or so, and didn't you tell me yesterday that you were going too? Where exactly are you going?" he asks and I shrug, even though he can't see that. "I don't know, I'll ask my mom. Hang on." I say and ask my mom where we're going exactly. "Oh, Ash, we're staying near Rome. You're playing in Rome, right?" "Yeah, so maybe we'll meet then?" "Sure!" I happily say, but I can't help but hope that I won't have to face Calum. "Should I buy tickets for you or not?" Ashton asks and I say, "No, thanks..." "Why not?" "Well, I don't really think I should be the one to tell you..."Ashton remains silent for a little while and then says, "Does it have something to do with Calum? I heard Luke scream at him about something. And he never scream, so..." "Yes, it has. But don't ask further, okay? It's not something nice. But I'll see you in Italy?" I say and I hear Ashton chuckle. "Yes! Where should we meet?" I laugh at Ashton's enthousiasm and say, "We'll figure it out, don't worry! Bye Ashton!" "Bye Sara." he says and I hang up. I like the thought of seeing Ashton, Luke and Michael again. But I'm already feeling nervous about the fact that I'll maybe have to face Calum. And I don't want that. I'm far from ready.
