I haven't slept at all. I'm glad that Luke left me alone after dinner, and luckily I have my own room here. I can't bear being social right now. The thought of Calum wanting me to leave and the jetlag combined were too much for me to get any sleep. Did Calum really mean it? Maybe he only said he didn't want me to leave because Luke threatened him. That's a possibility I can't live with.

It's very early, but just when I'm about to get up someone knocks on the door. I quickly sit up and Luke comes walking in. He's not wearing a shirt, just a pair of jogging pants. In his hands are two glasses of water and he just stands in the doorway. He's clearly not sure what to do, so I let him know that I'm awake and he turns on the light.
"I just couldn't sleep. I just keep thinking about the things Calum said." He says and I nod, gesturing for him to sit down next to me. I can see that he's very tired. His hair is a mess and his eyes are troubled. No the bright blue that they usually are, and that worries me.

"Me neither. I've been laying here all night and thinking about the same things. Do you think he really meant that?"

Luke ruffles his hand through his hair and says, "I don't think so. He just needed a wake-up call, because after all, he likes you. He really does."
He hands me a glass of water and we both take a sip. "I'm so tired," I start to say, but Luke continues to finish my thoughts. "Let's go downstairs. We're not gonna sleep anyways." I nod and we walk downstairs, grabbing our glasses. We sit down on the couch, next to each other.
"I'm glad you're here." I say, not even realizing what that means.
"I'm glad you're here too." Luke says and wraps an arm around me, which makes me look at him weird. "Oh, sorry. Does that make you feel uncomfortable?"
No, I think, and lean onto him.
"I mean it," I say while looking up at him, "I feel like I've known you forever. You're just a person you can trust easily, I guess. And it all started with me walking the wrong way in that one concert hall."

That makes Luke grin and he asks, "Were you into Calum from the start? Or did you have a favorite other than him before that?"

"No, it really was Calum from the start. But I'd never expect to fall in love with him. Maybe it sounds weird, but I think I liked Calum from the beginning. Even though I'd never met him, or any of you."
"Back in Italy, didn't you like Ashton?" Luke asks, and that makes my heart skip a beat.

"I don't think so," I say, "I mean, Ashton is one of the sweetest guys I've ever met, but I don't think I'll ever see him as more than a friend."
"I know," Luke says, "But it seemed like it. Calum was so pissed when he found out that you were hanging out with Ashton instead of him. You should've heard him yell at that poor guy. Even though it wasn't in the same room, but Ashton told me he could hear Calum curse at him from the other side of the wall. I don't think Calum knows that."
"And you? Have you ever liked a fan?"

"No." Luke says, but I'm lucky to be able to look at him. He's lying, and I can see that.
"So, who was it? Does it happen often?" I ask, and that makes his cheeks turn a deep shade of pink. "Okay, I know I'm the worst liar. But no, it doesn't happen often. Actually I wrote a song about her, it's called-"
"Waste the night." I randomly guess, and that makes Luke tense up a little. "How do you know that?" "I didn't," I say, "But that's the only song I could think of, besides Wherever You Are. So, did something happen between the two of you?"

Luke sighs and sits up straight, letting me look into his eyes properly. "No, well, depends on how you perceive that. We used to call each other every night and stuff, but she lives back in America. It was back at the tour with One Direction, and we met at a Meet and Greet. We used to do fun things together for a month or so, but then we left back to Australia and I never saw her again. She doesn't know that Waste The Night is about her."
"Make her know. Do you somehow still have her number or so?" I ask and Luke shakes his head, indicating that that is a no. "Do the other guys know about her?"

Again, Luke shakes his head and I grin. "Then let me find out who she is."
"I bet you can't-"
"Believe me, I'm the best stalker."
