The sound of my phone buzzing wakes me up the next morning. "Hello?" I say without looking at the caller ID.
"Hey... it's me." A voice says and I immediately know who it is. "Calum? Hi, how are you?" "I'm okay, I guess." he says in a soft voice and I ask, "Are you hungover?" "Yes." he says, followed by a long silence. "Are you still there?" I ask after a while and I hear Calum sigh. "Yes. Sara, I have to tell you something, but please, promise you won't feel bad."
"Yeah, sure." I say, but I just feel that there's something wrong. Once again there's a long silence on the other side of the line. "I don't know how to say this... but... I've kissed someone else last night."
And with said, I'm wide awake. "What?" I ask and Calum coughs. "And I hate to say this... but... it went further than that."
That make me sit right up, not really knowing what to say. I start to talk because I know I can't just hang up right now. "Wow, that's, cool. Really, it's not like we're together, so it's fine. I'm happy for you, it's fine."
"You aren't mad?" he asks and I let out a fake laugh.
"No, of course not. It's not like you ever cared about me. I'll tell you this, Calum freaking rockstar Hood, it's fine. Do whatever you want. Screw you, and screw her. Oh wait, I don't have to say that, since you already followed my advice."
And with that being said, I hang up and walk over to my closet. And with that being said, I hang up and walk over to my closet. I search for Calum's sweater and throw it on my bed. I feel so disgusted right now that I don't even want to touch the sweater. I then search my drawers for a pair of scissors. I'm boiling with anger right now, and the only thing I want to do is destroy something. I grab a pair of scissors and pick up the sweater, ready to cut it to pieces. But when I hold the sweater close to my face I smell the scent of Calum and suddenly, I can't do it anymore. I burst down in tears and fall down on my bed, still clutching the sweater to my chest. "Fuck!" I yell, and right after that my sister comes walking in. "What's wrong? Oh... you're crying. What happened?"
I cover my head in my hands and say, "Calum... he- he slept with someone else."
"What? You're not serious, are you?" she says but I nod. "I'm going to fucking kill him with my bare hands," she angrily says, "Why are you holding his sweater? You should burn it."
That makes me smile a little and I say, "I wanted to cut it to pieces, but I... I couldn't do it. Smell how nice it smells!"
"Nah, I'll pass," Eva says, "Wait, I have a better idea." She grabs a piece of paper from my desk and picks up a pen. "Calum I thought you'd want your sweater back. Since you hurt me I don't want to have to do anything with you anymore, and-"
"No," I say, "Don't do that." "Okay," she sighs, "Maybe you should call Donya or Luke. Does she know about it yet?"I shake my head and grab my phone. "Hey Donya, have you heard anything from Luke yet?"
"No," she says, "Why?" I sigh. "Well, should I call him about Calum? Maybe he knows something." "What did Calum do?" Donya says, immediately getting a sharp tone in her voice. "Well, he-" "He slept with someone else." My sister interrupts me.
"He did WHAT?" Donya yells and says, "Wait a minute." And then she hangs up.
About a minute or two later my phone rings again. It's Luke. Before I can even say hello, Luke bursts out in a serious of words that do not belong in a children's book.
"Luke, calm down." I say. "No, I won't. Who does Calum think he is? Treating you like this, like it's nothing? No-"
"Hey Luke." Calum says at the other end of the line and Luke sighs. "Gotta go. Calum I gotta talk to you."
