When I do tell my sister, she totally freaks out. She keeps telling me that I should text him and that I should go see him. She's being unrealistic, though. How am I supposed to see him? Yes, I talked to him just an hour ago, but that doesn't mean we are best friends or something like that. There's still plenty of things he doesn't know about me, and I'm sure there are even more things I don't know about him yet. And he's on the other side of the world right now, so there's no way I could just go and see him.
"Hello, Sara?" Eva claps her hands in front of me and I'm pulled out of my thoughts.
"Sorry, what?"
"I said, I'm going to get some food. Do you want some?"
"Yeah, sure. See you later." I say and my sister smiles while shutting the door behind her. While she's gone I stare at my phone, wondering whether I should text Calum or not. After a while I decide to not do that. After totally embarrassing myself earlier today when we were on the phone, I'm not sure that I wouldn't do that again. Today is not my lucky day. My mouth speaks before my brain thinks, so talking to someone famous will definitely not go well today.
Just when I put my phone on my desk it starts buzzing. I look at it and see that Eva is calling me. Not the person I hoped it would be, I caught myself thinking.
"Bet you thought it was Calum." she says when I answer the phone.
"No..."
"Yes, you did. So, anyways, I'm in the supermarket. Chocolate, chips, or candy?" she asks.
I decide on chocolate and she promises me to bring my favourite: Milka Confetti. A little later she's back with them and hands one to me. But as soon as I open it, I start thinking about Calum again and I'm not feeling hungry anymore.
"I'm just gonna save this for later. I forgot I wasn't hungry, but thanks," I tell her and my sister grins.
"You are so in love."
"I'm not!" I defend myself and she looks at me, head tilted to one side and her arms crossed in front of her. "Oh, come on. I can see when you like someone. After all, who's the love expert of us two?"
"You," I sigh. She has been together with her boyfriend for three years now and they're still very happy together, "But still, how can I like someone when I've only seen him once? Also, he's a celebrity. I can't fall in love with him, that would be crazy."
"You think so? Well, as Ed Sheeran would say, people fall in love in mysterious ways."
"For the last time, I'm not in love, okay? You know how picky I am. I even didn't want to give him a hug because he was sweaty!"
"Okay, you have a point, but that's just you being weird. Now eat the damn chocolate, I didn't buy it for nothing." my sister orders me and I sigh, taking a bite of my favorite chocolate. She's right: you can never go wrong with chocolate.
Eva turns the tv on, and as the screen lights up, 5SOS comes on with their latest music video. "What a coincidence," she chuckles, at which I sigh. I walk upstairs to grab my phone which was charging. As I look at the screen I see that I have a missed call from Calum. Why would he call me two ours after I totally embarrassed myself? Before I decide whether or not I should call him back, I text Larissa.
To: Larissa- Do you know why Calum called me?
From: Larissa- I have no idea, but Luke asked me if I could tell you that you should text Calum.
And that is what I do. To: Calum - Hey, you called me?
As soon as I see that Calum read it, I get a call from him.
"Sara, why didn't you answer me? Maybe I called you because I was sent into the hospital, or maybe I was about to get kidnapped by a crazy fan. But no, you only cared about yourself. Do you know how that makes me feel?" he says and I raise an eyebrow, even though he can't see me.
"You're in the hospital?"
"No, I was just kidding, just that you now know that you should always answer me."
"I will, mister Hood," I joke, "After all you're the celebrity here, so I should do anything you want."
"Exactly," he laughs, "No, I called you because I already arranged the surprise. Can I have your address?"
"How would I know you don't plan on sending someone to my house to abduct me?" Stupid question, and to be honest, that sounded paranoid. Hopefully he thinks I'm joking.
"I won't, believe me. So, your address?" Calum asks and I give it to him. After he writes it down I hear him chuckle. "Okay, you'll see your surprise in a week, I hope. Bye!"
"Bye!" I say back and Calum hangs up.
Immediately after that I call Larissa to tell what Calum had just said. Of course she starts laughing. "I swear he's planning something weird," she says, "And no, I won't call Luke about the surprise." "But..." "No I won't." she says and hangs up after that.
