"Sara, there's a package delivered for you. I don't have any idea what it is, or who sent it to you, but it's on the stairs." my mother informs me, and as soon as she finishes talking I run to the stairs, almost tripping over my own feet. I then run up the stairs to drop the package on my bed. I first stare at it as if it's a ticking time bomb for a few minutes. Then I slowly move closer and pick up the package. It's soft, like a pillow. I turn the package in my hands to observe it. It's got a lot of stamps on it, so that's a sign it's from another country. On the back is written: Sydney, Australia.

That's when I realise it's Calum's so-called surprise. I sit down on my bed, opening the package carefully, even though it's unlikely that it could break. Maybe it can, you never know. As soon as I shake the package to get its contents out, a sweater falls out. It has a white zipper on the front, and the body of the sweater is a dark shade of blue. The sleeves have an aztec print on them. As soon as I unfold it, a note falls out. I pick up the piece of paper to see what it says.

Hey Sara, so, this is your surprise! It's not much, but I hope you like it. Don't worry, it's not just the sweater if you are disappointed :) But, I have to warn you that this is one of my favorite sweaters, so take care of it...

It's probably way too big, but I like the thought of you wearing my sweater. Send me a picture when you do. I also hope it doesn't smell. I washed it before sending it, don't worry. Maybe it smells a little like me but I hope you don't mind. If you reach in the pockets you'll find something you like. At least I hope you do. Make sure you wear this the next time we meet. All the love, Calum :)

What is this? Of course I've seen the sweater in pictures, but why would he send it to me? I hesitate for a moment and then put on the sweater. Like Calum said, it's way too big. I hadn't expected something else. He's twenty centimeters taller than me, but it's very comfy. Warm, oversized and it does smell like Calum's scent a bit. There's no sweat stains or something, no weird things that make it uncomfortable. Just a normal sweater. Except the fact it's from Calum Hood...
As he asked me to do, I reach into the pocket and pull out two concert tickets. On the back is written in Calum's handwriting: November 20, Ziggo Dome. Be there! And wear this :)

Oh my god. This is too much. Larissa and I couldn't get tickets for this concert. When Calum and I last spoke on the phone I told him that, but I would never ask him for tickets. I wanted to make sure he didn't see me as just a fan, and above all, he shouldn't think I was using him, so I let it slide.
Before I can even think of screaming I call Calum. I don't even let him say hi. I just go straight away:
"Oh my god, Calum! This is the best present ever! And I must say that this sweater is really nice, I totally get that it's your favorite. Oh my god, does anyone even know about this? And I can't believe you got me tickets," I say, now getting a little choked up because I now realise how considerate that is, "I feel like you know me so well, I swear, this is great! I love you I love you!"

"Wait, what did you say at the end?" Calum laughs at the end of my rambling, "That this... oh, yeah, I love you... Did you mean that?"
"Did I really just say that?"
"Don't worry, I'm used to hearing that," Calum laughs, "And no, nobody knows that I sent you my sweater. Of course the boys know about the tickets and we're all excited to see you and Larissa again. By the way, you can get backstage with those tickets so make sure security doesn't throw them away. Wait, I'm going to call you on Skype. I wanna see your face right now."
I open my laptop and sit down on my bed again. Calum is already calling me and I answer.
"Hey!" Calum happily says with a smile on his face, at which I can't help but smile back.
"Hey, thanks... again, but in a more chill way now," I grin, "How are you?"
"I was fine, but I'm doing very good now that you're wearing my sweater." Calum says and smiles, suddenly coming across a little shy.
"Yeah, it's nice. I get why you like it so much. Now tell me, did really no one know about this? Not even Larissa?" I ask and he nods. "Yes, she did, actually. She had to make sure you had no plans next week."
"I knew it!" I shout and Calum laughs.
"But she promised she wouldn't tell anyone."
"She didn't," I assure him, "She's very good at keeping a secret. So, are you already packing for the long flight, since the concert is only a week away?" I ask, as he's still in Australia right now. This concert is actually the first of the three-week tour, so it makes sense that he's at home.
"No," Calum shakes his head, "I usually pack like a few hours before we have to leave."
"You're kidding me," I sigh, "I don't know how you can do that."
"Oh well, help me pack then? I want to look nice at the concert, and we're going to explore Amsterdam, so I want to look at least a little nice." he says and I agree. "Sure, if you want me to..."

Calum stands up and makes his way over to his closet. Just when he's about to open it, Luke comes storming in. "Okay, so my phone charger just broke and I don't have a backup, so I'm going to use yours."
"No you aren't, get your own. It's not like you don't make enough money." Calum says and I giggle.
"Is that Sara?" Luke asks and grabs Calum's phone out of his hand. "Hey!" he says and I smile. "Hey."
"So what were you and Calum doing, huh? Doing sexy things?"
"No!" I protest, "I'm helping him pack."
"Oh, so boring. Okay. Well I'm bored too so I'm also helping. Double opinions can't hurt, right?" he says and I agree. "Okay Cal, what have you got?" Luke says and turns the camera around so I can see Calum. He is holding an ugly purple sweater, and Luke and I immediately yell, "No!"
"Burn that, dude." Luke groans, which makes me laugh.
"It's a good thing I have your sweater now, in case of emergencies. I'll have to give it back to you if you have more hideous clothes like that," I grin and Calum sticks out his tongue. "Funny." He then picks up a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and I nod. "Your girlfriend says yes, I say no because you're probably going to rip it even more."

"Girlfriend?" Calum and I say at the same time. Luke nods with a determined look on his face. "It's impossible to believe you two aren't dating. Damnit, you're helping him pack! Of course you're dating."
I sigh and shake my head. "No, we're not, Now, what else, Calum?" I ask and he holds up a couple of sweater I agree on. "But why only black and blue?"
"You have the only patterned sweater I own." Calum winks.

After half an hour or so, Calum has packed everything except for the things he still needs this week, and we hang up. I then remember I still have to thank Larissa for keeping the secret and I rush over to her house. Until she opens it, I keep knocking on the door.
"Saar, the door doesn't have to break... hey, you're wearing Calum's sweater!" my best friend happily says and I nod.
"So, in a week we're going to our second 5SOS concert. Thank you for keeping the secret, I'm so happy about it!"
"Yeah, me too. To be honest, it was hard to contain my excitement when Calum told me what he was planning to do. Plus, I can't wait to see Luke again."
"Me too! Thank you for being the best friend ever. Just wanted to say that. Well, I'm gonna head back for dinner, see you tomorrow!"
I hug my best friend and walk back to my own house, feeling the warmth of Calum's sweater on my body.
