"What the fuck?" I stared at the photo. "Where did you get that?"
"You fucking lied to my face." Krystal pushed me back.
"So you won't have let me into the club if you knew I was gay?" I asked as I took the phone from her.
The partially open door of the closet showed two kissing girls in the picture, lit by the pink neon lights of the party.
"That's not what I meant." She defended herself.
"That's exactly what you meant." I said in an odd calm tone. "Where did you get this from?"
"It was going around in the class group chat." She said. "The students in the club have been texting me since yesterday, telling me they don't want to work with you."
"Wait, you're kicking me out?" I gave her phone back and closed my eyes. "Fine, just remember that you guys are still shooting my story." I stepped back.
"You can still come to the competition if you want, but just keep your distance." She sighed. "It doesn't seem like anyone has reported you two, but I don't know from how much longer you two are safe."
"Right, cause being gay is worth being reported." I ran my hands through my hair.
"Well, you're in a Christian school so, be careful. That's all I am saying." She walked out of the room.
This week was spinning into a hurricane of terror.
I ran back to class to see Miss Song discussing the chapter we finished last week.
"Excuse me." I walked up to her. "Miss Song, I am not feeling well, may I go to the infirmary?" I whispered.
"Yes, of course, Y/N. Make sure to get the notes from Amber when you're feeling better." She looked at me with a concern.
"Thank you!" I bowed, grabbed my bag and walked out the door. Using the back door of the school, I sneaked out to my usual hiding spot near the auditorium.
When I opened the door, I found a scared Luna hurdled up in the corner.
"Hey ..." I closed and locked the door, putting my bag down before I moved closer to her.
She sobbed as I put my hands around her shoulders. Head first, she butted into my chest and put her hands around my waist. I patted her head as my head leaned against the wall behind me.
"I am so sorry-" She sobbed, looking up to me.
"You did this?" I asked in shock.
She shook her head. "Lee took the photo at the party and send it to my phone. My friends saw it when they were looking through my phone at my birthday party." She cried.
"Of course, those bastards fucking sent it to the whole school." I bit my tongue. I was angry but I knew I couldn't be pissed at her right now.
"I am sorry." She raised her lips to mine and stared at them longingly.
"Luna, no." I ran my fingers through her hair.
"I want to fucking feel something that's not this right now." She wiped away her tears.
"You promised me that was the last time." I froze in my place.
"It can't hurt us anymore than it already has." She fought her case.
"Luna, I don't love you, you know that." I closed my eyes as my heart screamed.
"You don't have to love me to do this." She bit my lip.
"Luna ..." My muffled voice drowned in my throat.
Her hand now went up my skirt.
I pushed her away. "I said no." I panted as I spoke.
"Do you hate me?" She starred at me with her doll like eyes.
"No. I don't hate you." I reassured her.
"Yes, you do." She cried, her head buried on shoulder again.
"Stop trying to fucking manipulate me right now, Luna." I sighed. "I don't want do this with you right now." I stood up.
"You're leaving me ... like everyone else." She balled out her eyes, her head lowered.
"You pushed me away this time." I closed my eyes and pushed her away.
Picking up my bag, I bust out of the room and ran out towards the gate.
The guard at the gate stared at me, I smiled through my puffy eyes after wiping away my tears. "I am feeling sick, so headed home." I pushed out my excuse without crying.
Kicking the pebbles on the side walk, I paddled over to Taemin's place. I fished out the keys from under the succulents and opened the door.
Hands on the railing, I pushed myself up the stairs. Music played softly through the walls when I reached the top of the stairway.
"Taemin? You're home?" I asked as I knocked on the door.
The lack of a response prompted me to open the door.
I diverted my eyes as the boys sprang apart their uniforms partially undone.
"Y/N, what are you doing here?" Taemin adjusted his shirt and smiled awkwardly.
"Sorry, I'll leave." I bowed as I apologised.
"No, no. It's fine, stay. I should get going anyway, class starts soon." The buff boy grabbed his bag. "Please don't tell anyone about this." He begged me on his way out.
"Don't worry about her, she's a safe one." Taemin laughed.
"Okay. Cool. See you in class!" He waved at Taemin before walking out.
"Shouldn't you be in Extra class, nerd?" He shimmied his shoulders and patted the bed. "Come sit."
"Something happened." I sat down, defeated.
Hugs and kisses from Cheonsa.
