It's a beautiful day, about a month since we went to New York. I'm finishing a shot glass of Bourbon. That's when I sense someone else lurking around in my home. At the moment, Katherine's getting ready upstairs.

"You're very stupid to barge into a vampire's home, you know," I comment, even though I don't know who it is, as I set my now empty shot glass down on my drinking table. I then turn around to look for the presence, which is when I get pinned against a wall in a blur.

"And you're an idiot to think you can best me," the unfamiliar female vampire replies. "I guess you still haven't learned not to pick a fight against someone that's older than you," she adds.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" I ask her.

"I've been looking for Katherine for nearly 500 years. I know she's here somewhere," she replies to me.

"And who would you be?" I hear Katherine ask. With the confrontation, I hadn't noticed until now that she's now in the living room. At Katherine's question, the unfamiliar vampiress lets me go, before turning to look at her.

"My name is Nadia. I've been looking for you for a long time. You're a hard person to find. Not so hard as a human, though," she replies.

As I look at both of them, eyeing the vampire named Nadia that seems to be older than me, I suddenly realize the similarities between the two of them. Both looks and her not so great manners, but also the fact that she has the same name as Katherine informed me that she named her daughter 500 sum years ago. I can count on one hand the amount of people that have invaded my home without consequences from me. After all, one rule about the supernatural world. You never want to invade a vampire's home. Especially, when they don't know you. Or they're stronger than you. Despite the similarities though, I don't want to assume anything. Not until it's confirmed.

"Nadia?" she questions her, clearly and obviously shocked.

"It's me," she assures her. "I've been looking for you for a very long time. You've been running for so long, it's hard to find you."

"Why are you here?" Katherine questions her, though if she really is her daughter, I'm sure Katherine is thrilled inwardly that she's alive.

"I've been looking for you. I have some unanswered questions," she replies.

"As do I," Katherine replies. Then Katherine asks her, "There's one question I've always had. I went back for you in 1498. I searched every village for you. Where were you?"

"I don't know. I was eight," Nadia replies and reminds her.

"It's your turn. What do you need to know?" Katherine asks, as I go and sit on my couch, watching, seeing that she really is her daughter, so there shouldn't be a threat with her being here.

"You abandoned me. Why?"

"I didn't abandon you. You were torn from my arms. My father thought I was a no good slut," she informs Nadia.

After the questions are answered, they leave the living room to have a family reunion elsewhere.
