When I find out that Mason Lockwood is spying for Katherine, I capture him to find out about Katherine's plan. I find out that Katherine wants the Moonstone. Mason wants it too, and I don't know why. I then kill Mason Lockwood by ripping out his heart. I did Mason a favor, because Katherine would have killed him anyway after she got what she wanted. Believe me, Katherine always gets what she wants.
After I kill Mason, I take his phone and call Katherine to let her know what I did to Mason.
"I'm sorry. Did I put a hole in your plan?" I say to her over the phone.
She's silent, which is either her thinking or me being right or both.
Later, Stefan finds out that the Moonstone is located in an old well in the woods and Caroline and Elena go with him to help him get the Moonstone. But then they have to rescue Stefan, because the water in the well turns out to be vervained and it burns him. So Elena gets both Stefan and the Moonstone and then heads home.
