"thank you so much for the hard work, wooyoung ssi. you were a big help for the diner." mrs ju, the owner of the diner that wooyoung now worked in, smiled at him before lightly bowing her head. wooyoung widened his eyes and helped the woman up.

"no, thank you, ma'am, for hiring me. it's an honour to be working here. i'll see you tomorrow!" wooyoung smiled and swung his backpack over his shoulder.

mrs ju chuckled softly, "it's mrs ju to you, honey!"

wooyoung waved at her through the front windows and walked away. the diner was really nice. everything about it was beautiful and exquisite, even though it didn't offer a high pay nor was it owned by rich people. mrs ju was just some women slightly over the poverty line, feeding for those that couldn't afford to pay high prices just for a piece of toast and scrambled egg.

wooyoung checked his phone once again for the address but came across a text from san.

sannie 💗

woo where r u??

wooyoung widened his eyes, realising that he didn't tell san or yeosang about his new job. "whoops." wooyoung muttered his breath. he immediately went to the phone app and quickly dialled his worried boyfriend.

"wooyoung! what the fuck? i was so scared you were kidnapped or killed or something. wh- where are you now?" san yelled through the phone. wooyoung flinched at how harsh the older sounded but he knew that san was just worried for him, that's all.

"i forgot to tell you, sannie, but i got a job! at the ju's diners! i just went off work and in fact, i plan on buying some groceries before coming home. i'm really sorry i made you worry." wooyoung explained, playing with his lips by tugging and releasing his lower lip in different places.

san sighed, "oh, thank goodness you're fine. make sure you leave a note next time, please? it scares me to know that i woke up and you're not next to me. it scared me so much, woo." san muttered the last part and wooyoung mentally cooed at how soft and fragile the older sounded.

"i'm really sorry, sannie." wooyoung said, "i promise this won't happen again."

"you better keep that promise, woo, or i'll make sure you don't get to go to work for a week because how much your lower body hurts." wooyoung didn't have to see san now to know that the pink-haired male was smirking. wooyoung's face immediately darkened in red and coughed lightly, "s-san..."

"i'm not joking." san deadpanned, then releasing a light chuckle, "if you remember then this won't happen~ anyway, do you have the grocery list?"

wooyoung hummed, "i got it from the fridge this morning."

"you managed to get the grocery list but not tell me or yeosang you have a job and just left home?" san replied in a monotone.

wooyoung sighed and muttered, "will you drop it now, please?"

san laughed, "okay, okay. be safe, alright? i'll see you soon."

wooyoung shook his head and laughed softly, "i'll see you soon. bye, sannie."

"bye, woo."

with that, san hung up and wooyoung shoved his phone into his pocket. he sighed, he wasn't really planning to just go grocery shopping, really. well, yes, he's going to buy the groceries anyway because no one's going to feed those two boys except for him, but he also had another task, another job to do.

wooyoung double checked the address and made sure he had arrived at the correct building. "bingo." he muttered to himself as a small, content smile revealed itself. he entered the building and, somehow, got through all the security without anyone stopping or questioning why he's here.
