"i probably should explain myself." wooyoung said when he arrived at yeosang and san's shared bedroom. seonghwa and hongjoong had return early from their 'date night' due to hyunjin calling them and hongjoong was beyond annoyed wooyoung had sent an sos message to yeosang.
"well, i didn't know if we were going to die, did i? i just did it out of precaution!" wooyoung argued.
seonghwa nodded, taking wooyoung's side, "he's right, joong. i'm sure you would've done the same if the situation was the other way around."
hyunjin shrugged, "i'm agreeing, dear cousin. it'll be stupid if two assassins didn't send their location to an ex-assassin just in case."
hongjoong groaned, "fine. but if they make a mess or whatever, i'm not taking care of them!"
"it's fine! they'll be under my care, alright? i'll take responsibility." wooyoung said and went out of hongjoong's room in a huff, leaving for yeosang and san's room.
"yeah, you should. we came all the way from seoul to busan just to find out not only were you not in trouble, but also bunking with your best friend and his friends!" yeosang said, flailing his arms everywhere around the air to try and emphasise his point.
wooyoung chuckled lightly at the boy, "yeah, i see your point. anything from you, sannie?"
the nickname just slipped out of his mouth. wooyoung's eyes widened in shock. it had just hit him he hadn't call san by his nickname for over two months now and that it was extremely awkward to do so. yeosang glanced at the pair of soulmates and cleared his throat, "i'll, um, ask hyunjin ssi where the toilet is. you two sort your shit out."
with that, yeosang left the room and closed the door gently behind him. wooyoung's eyes trailed the older just to make sure he's going the correct way and to his relief, yeosang was. wooyoung's eyes then landed on san, who was sitting on the edge of his bed.
although wooyoung knew that it was probably the worst decision ever, he started moving towards his soulmate. he sat on yeosang's bed, which was next to san's bed, and looked down at his fingers.
"san, i'm so sorry-"
"i forgive you." san muttered. the male — now having dark purple hair — looked up at wooyoung and smiled softly, "i forgive you, wooyoung."
wooyoung stared at san and blinked a few times, "y-you do?"
san nodded, "yeosang slapped some sense into me two week after you left. i originally wanted to go to busan already, but then yeosang received your text. i don't know why it took so long for us to finally get here, but well, here we are now."
wooyoung chuckled, "i'm glad yeosang hyung slapped some sense into you. if he didn't, well, i wouldn't know what to do."
san shrugged, "anyways, what did i miss, woo?"
wooyoung smiled at the nickname san used, "there's a lot. but, um, can i-"
"come here." san grinned, using his fingers to motion wooyoung to come over. wooyoung did so and sat next to san. san rolled his eyes, pulling wooyoung onto his lap. wooyoung let out a small squeal and placed his hands on san's shoulder, trying to steady himself.
san leaned forward towards wooyoung and smiled softly, "i missed you and your kisses so much, woo."
wooyoung hummed and smiled, his smile so big his cheeks actually hurt, "i miss you so much too, sannie."
san did not hesitate to connect their lips afterwards. there was no tongue nor lust intertwined, it was only pure, raw feelings. wooyoung smiled into the kiss and laced his fingers together behind san's neck. san's arms wrapped around wooyoung's small waist, drawing small circles onto the younger's skin.
the two broke away for oxygen and chuckled for a little. "i'm so sorry i lashed out on you." san muttered while their foreheads were connected together. wooyoung shook his head and sighed, "it's okay, sannie, it really is."
san pulled away and frowned, "no, it's not, woo. i lashed out on you for no reason at all and kicked you out of our apartment as well. i'm so sorry, woo."
wooyoung placed his hands on his lover's cheeks and pecked san's lips softly, "it really is okay, sannie. i understood why you reacted like that. it's fine. gosh, how many times do i have to tell you, hm?"
"as many times as i want if you're going to kiss me every time." san smirked, his grip on wooyoung's waist tightening a bit.
wooyoung rolled his eyes and slapped san's shoulder playfully, "you're such a jackass."
"but i'm your jackass."
"pft, when did you become a romantic?"
san looked into wooyoung's judging eyes and raised one of his hands to tuck wooyoung's hair behind his ear. he then leaned towards the younger's ear and whispered, "ever since i met you, darling."
—
"how was the journey from seoul to busan?" hongjoong asked when the now six boys sat around that small round table. wooyoung glanced up and scrunched his nose, "why are you so formal, hyung?"
hongjoong shrugged, "i don't know them. i just wanted to ask normal questions at first!"
seonghwa let out a small chuckle, "and what do you define as abnormal questions, joong?"
"uh, i dunno," hongjoong started, "maybe like how well would you like your steak to be? i don't know."
yeosang laughed and high-fived hongjoong, "i really like you, hongjoong ssi. we should talk more, you know."
hongjoong grinned and swallowed the mouthful of vegetables he had stuffed in just a while ago, "i know, right? please, just call me hongjoong hyung. i really don't mind. you too, san."
san nodded and smiled. wooyoung, however, directed his gaze over to seonghwa, who was just playing around with his food. wooyoung frowned. he put down his fork and tapped seonghwa's lap twice. the older boy looked up. wooyoung mouthed an 'are you okay' to him, which seonghwa replied with nodding slightly, mouthing 'it's nothing' back at his best friend. wooyoung looked at seonghwa one last time before turning his attention back at the dinner table.
seonghwa wasn't being slick, wooyoung knew he was jealous at how yeosang and hongjoong was interacting, which was just plain stupid. if only seonghwa knew yeosang had a boyfriend.
wooyoung tapped seonghwa's lap again and this time, the older boy looked up with a hint of irritation written on his face. wooyoung mouthed 'yeosang has a boyfriend' and watched his best friend's face turn beet red. wooyoung had the stifle a laugh in order to avoid the horrible and embarrassing situation seonghwa would face.
"seonghwa, why the hell is your face so red?" hyunjin asked, pointing it out and adverting everyone's attention towards the oldest boy. seonghwa glanced over at hyunjin with wide eyes and chuckled awkwardly, "oh! i'm just- i'm hot! am i the only one hot in here? whew!"
wooyoung laughed at seonghwa's excuse but quickly clapped his hands over his mouth. san raised a questioning eyebrow at him and wooyoung shook his head, dismissing the slightly older's suspicions.
seonghwa also glared at wooyoung and wooyoung shrugged, not caring whether or not the others were suspicious of his laughter.
"what's so funny, wooyoung?" hyunjin attempted, "did seonghwa do something embarrassing, hm?"
wooyoung was about to answer, but seonghwa replaced wooyoung's hand with his over the youngest boy's mouth, "nothing! nothing at all. can we just eat now?"
hyunjin snickered, "whatever you say, seonghwa."

a/n: this was kinda a shit chapter, i'm so sorry. i just lost idea as to what to write after san and wooyoung talked. i'm so sorry sighs.
