"so you plan on going back to busan." yeosang asked wooyoung. the two roommates were sitting on the sofa and the coffee table in front of them was filled with plates of breakfast. san was off doing his daily routine of groceries and therefore left the two in the apartment.

wooyoung nodded, sipping on his coffee and putting it back down, "i don't see why not. that way, it does guarantee san safety. if i go back and somehow kill park junwong, then both you and san will be safe. i can be truthful to san as well. it's a win-win situation!"

yeosang stared at wooyoung blankly, "are you fucking stupid? this is park junwong we're talking about! you know how hard it is to kill him. i've seen dozens of news about assassins trying to kill him and only ending up dying themselves. wooyoung, none of us want you to die."

"but that's the only way you, san and i could be safe! i have no other choice!" wooyoung argued, "he knows i'm in seoul, hyung, and there had been people trying to kill me in the span of time i was here. i know we could never be safe unless i kill that bastard. plus, you know how good i am at this, hyung. why aren't you letting me do this?"

"because san would be devastated!" yeosang yelled, silencing both of them for a moment. yeosang sighed, slumping back into the sofa and pinching the bridge of his nose, "i always said this, wooyoung. san had never been happier. if you die trying to kill that man, he's going to be devastated. plus, you two are soulmates, half of his soul will die with you and he'll- do you want that, wooyoung? do you really want that?"

wooyoung groaned and rolled his eyes, "that's only if i can't kill park junwong."

yeosang looked at the younger boy in disbelief, "you dipshit-" he gripped wooyoung's shoulder, causing wooyoung to look at him, "i trust your skills. i'm scared of it, even. but this man had kill more assassins than you know. he killed assassins that were better than you, more well known than you. i'm not doubting you, wooyoung, hell, i never will. but i'm scared of what that man is capable of, and-"

yeosang cut himself off as his eyes drifted to something behind wooyoung, his eyes wavering and he sighed, "fuck."

wooyoung frowned, confused why yeosang swore. "uh, hyung, what's wr-"

he turned around and he saw what's wrong. choi san was what's wrong. the pink-haired male stood there with two grocery bags on the floor and his eyes glaring holes into wooyoung's head. wooyoung's shoulder slumped. he shook himself out of yeosang's grip and went to san, "sannie-"

"you're an assassin, too." san said, his tone cold and foreign, "fuck, were you sent here to kill me, too?"

wooyoung didn't know what to say. he wanted san to know he's an assassin, but not like this. why did san have to come into the apartment at such a wrong timing? why did san have to figure this out in such a stupid way?

"oh, so you were sent here to kill me." san snickered, "do you actually love me, wooyoung? or is this all just a facade to kill me secretly in my sleep?"

"no, sannie, no." wooyoung tried to approach san but san stepped back, leaving quite a bit of distance between the boyfriends, "sannie, please, hear me out-"

"no, wooyoung. this is-" san let out a breathy laugh, "this is stupid. i'm already living with an ex-assassin and now you're telling me i fell in love with an assassin too? gosh, this is so goddamned stupid."

wooyoung felt tears prick his eyes at how cold san sounded. how unloving san sounded. how cruel san sounded. he sniffed and used the back of his hand to wipe the tears away, to rid any evidence of crying because it would be weak of him to cry now. especially with san acting up like this. but wooyoung couldn't blame him. he understood why san was acting like this, but he always wanted san to just give him a chance to explain himself, give him a chance to tell san how much he loved him.

yeosang rose from the sofa, "san, just listen to wooyoung. just listen to his reasoning and-"

"how long have you knew this?" san glared at yeosang, his arms crossing in front of his chest, "did you know before he even moved in here?"

yeosang nodded, "yes, but-"

"oh so i'm the one that's in the dark here. how convenient." san glared back at wooyoung, who was now standing there with his fist clenched on his sides, "what? aren't you going to explain shit to me?"

"yes i was." wooyoung retorted, lifting his gaze from the floor to the face of the man he loved so dearly, "what i was going to say was that yes, i was sent here to kill you. i was sent and paid by a man called park junwong and i don't know if you remembered what you stole from him or even remember him. whatever. but ever since we hung out in the park, i've fallen in love with you, choi san.

"i hate that you are my soulmate. that i have to somehow kill my soulmate. but i didn't. i didn't kill you because my love for you was too — as cheesy as it sounds — strong. i've already gone MIA on park junwong for months and he's probably sending assassins to kill me right now, right this moment. but i don't care if i die, sannie, because i had the privilege of loving you. i had the chance to fall in love with you and have a life with you where i'm not wooyoung the assassin, but just jung wooyoung.

"i had a chance to live a normal life and i'm more than grateful for it. i'm so sorry you had to figure out that i'm an assassin this way but now that things are how it is right now, you can do whatever you want with me. i will go down to busan either way just to make sure you and yeosang hyung won't get killed by park junwong, but i don't know when. i can go right this instant if you want me to. but just thank you, choi san, thank you for granting me months of living as a normal boy in love."

san didn't move from his position, his eyes still narrow and glaring at the youngest boy. wooyoung sighed, "i'll take that you want me to go now."

yeosang's eyes widened and went to wooyoung's side, "wooyoung-"

wooyoung smiled slightly, the tears falling down from his eyes, "it's okay, hyung." wooyoung hugged yeosang tightly, "i'll be careful."

wooyoung released yeosang and looked at san one last time, whose head was turned to the other side and refusing to look at wooyoung. wooyoung sighed. he went over to the man nonetheless and wrapped his arms around san's neck, placing a soft kiss on his cheeks, "no matter what happens, i love you."

and then wooyoung released san as well and went into his bedroom to pack his stuff. san and yeosang just stood there, yeosang glaring at the younger boy and san looking at the floor, refusing to let his tears fall.

he knew he messed up, he knew he did. but there's no turning back now, right?
