once wooyoung finished making the dinner for the three boys — including him — he called to the two older boys.

"sannie! yeonjun! dinner!" wooyoung, in all honesty, felt like he was a mother that were dealing with two stubborn brothers because that's all he could see right now. san was glaring at yeonjun while yeonjun looked at wooyoung as if he's asking for help.

wooyoung sighed, "you two sit over there. i'm sitting here. no complaints."

san was about to protest, but wooyoung glared at him, "i said no complaints. now sit before i give you more vegetables, choi san."

with that threat on the back of his head, san sat down compliantly and sighed in defeat. he honestly had no idea why he was acting so strange. sure, there was this obvious reason of protecting the younger since wooyoung is his soulmate, but deep down in san's mind, there's this fear. there's this fear that this choi yeonjun might mean something more to wooyoung than just friends. and perhaps it was because of his little crush on wooyoung, but that thought scared him to death.

"um," yeonjun cleared his throat before smiling at wooyoung, "the dinner tastes great, wooyoung. just like always."

just like always? does that mean yeonjun comes here often? san thought.

wooyoung smiled back at the guy, "thanks, yeonjun. like i said, you're always welcomed here."

san groaned and rolled his eyes at how close the two seemed. wooyoung looked over at san and frowned, "something wrong with the steak?"

"no, nothing's wrong with the steak." san glared at wooyoung, trying to have the younger to get a hint at what he's feeling right now. wooyoung, being his soulmate, felt how annoyed and jealous — jealous? — the older felt. wooyoung scoffed at how childish the pink-haired boy was behaving.

yeonjun darted his eyes between the soulmates and gulped uncomfortably, "you know what, i think i should go, wooyoung. i've finished my dinner anyway. actually, may i just use the bathroom real quick?"

wooyoung broke away from san's intense glare and turned to yeonjun, giving the older the slightest smile, "yeah, of course. you know where it is."

san scoffed louder at wooyoung's comment. both wooyoung and yeonjun turned towards san, but seeing how san's obviously more annoyed now, wooyoung just ushered yeonjun to go to the toilet quickly. with that, yeonjun scrambled out of his seat and went to the bathroom.

"so, care to tell me why the hell you're so annoyed?" wooyoung started as he collected the dishes from all three of them. san glared at the younger, "do i really need to say it out loud? you can feel it yourself."

wooyoung shrugged, lifting his head momentarily to meet gazes with san, "i want to see if you can say it yourself out loud."

wooyoung then retreated into the open kitchen and started cleaning the dishes. san rolled his eyes, "what relationship do you two have?"

the shorter stopped washing the dishes, turning around to face san, "and why do you care?"

"maybe because we're soulmates and i need to know if you're together with someone?" san said as if he's stating the most obvious fact here.

wooyoung scoffed. he completely turned off the water faucet and pointed at san with his gloved finger, "no one ever said that soulmates do end up together. and where the fuck did you get the idea that yeonjun and i were together? he has a boyfriend, for fuck's sake!"

with wooyoung's words, san paused at where he was: standing in front of wooyoung, hands on his hips. wooyoung put down his accusing finger and sighed, "will you calm down now? i'm not together with anyone, san, and yeonjun is just a friend i've met in these three months i'm here. and if you're getting jealous," — wooyoung rolled his eyes at that — "at my friend coming over to eat dinner with me, well, you don't have to anymore."
