"Hey, have any of you had their period since before?"
The time was split in "before" and "since"- before the concert, before they were taken and since them being taken, violated, transported and chained to their respective boxes.
Voicing her fears was much harder and amidst the laughter about a delusional teacher it nearly went unnoticed. Emma, apparently having a really good hearing, answered however.
"No, but I haven't had mine yet before." Nathalie remembered that Emma wasn't even thirteen yet and had lost her mother aged four. "But Dad said that it was just a matter of time now and that it could start any moment, anywhere. Is that true?"
"Generally speaking it is" Mary answered her. "But as we are in a rather stressful environment and have had to adapt to major changes usually the body will not allow a period to take place. I am not sure how but it just doesn't happen when the body is under a lot of strain. I haven't had my period again either but I am not too worried about that and you shouldn't have to worry either" Mary explained. She had taken to Emma even before Louise had formed their little group and with her motherly love she gave Emma the strength the girl needed to get through the ordeal.
"Has anybody had their period then?" Nathalie repeated her question. All around her the women shook their heads no.
"Well I am not too fussed about that to tell you the truth. That's just more pain that we will all have to go through. If we all get it at the same time the days will be ruff for all of us even more so than they are already. Let's just keep going and not worry about that, alright?"
And with that statement from Larissa the conversation turned to another topic.
