(Don't) Panic

I know that authors notes are tedious to read when you want nothing more than to dive right into the plot and I have skipped enough authors notes myself. This is not only an authors note however, but a sincere warning. So here is goes:

The following triggers are found in the book (not a conclusive list):

- horror

- rape

- impregnation

- slaughter

- confinement

- abduction

- aliens

- monsters

- imprisonment

- torture

- chaining

- electrocution

- degradation

- dehumanisation

- starvation

- helplessness

These elements won't be mentioned in passing but as main points of the plot.

If you feel uncomfortable with any of the elements mentioned please do not continue reading this book.

All the characters you will meet and might care about will die. Not in some distant future but on-screen. They will all be slaughtered. I need you to understand that there will not be a happy ending for any of the characters. Even when there is reprieve for a moment don't delude yourself into thinking the characters might get out of the situation. They all serve a specific purpose without knowing about it and without consenting to it.

Always keep in mind that these individuals have been reduced to cattle and are treated as such. They are robbed of their free will and human rights. The people you will read about are still individuals however and will suffer through their situation and what is done to them. This suffering is not mentioned in passing but a main element of the plot!
