We sat around the table eating pancakes. That I made.

"Did you microwave these?" Connor asked as he chewed into one.

"No!" I lied quickly.

He and the rest of my brothers shared a look. "I do believe she did." Luca snickered.

"No one asked you, Lu." I scolded.

"Period! Go off queen!" Gray cheered me on. Kayla snorted as pancake came out of her mouth making Luca cringe.

"It's alright, Co. You might be a shitty cook, but you don't belong in the kitchen. You belong in the field." Dylan piped in.

I rose an eyebrow. What is with the topic of me going on a mission?

I heard my dad kick Dylan under the table. "Don't kick him," Mom hissed.

"Actually, I would love to go on a mission." I grinned.

Dylan rubbed his hands together with a grin. "Absolutely not. You just recovered from a gunshot wound!" My dad argued.

I sighed. Kayla threw me a glance saying, 'fight harder, I want to go in the field too.'

"Dad, I am a big girl! Fuck, I am seventeen, and I haven't been on a mission since I was 13. Even then, it was just a gun shipment!" I pressed.

"Language." My mother mumbled as she bit into a pancake.

I gave her a short nod. "Uncle Mikey, please." Kayla piped in, begging.

"Fine," my dad huffed and went to clean his plate. "No one ever listens to me." He mumbled.

Dylan laughed at his defeated expression. Dylan stuck his hand toward me and I hit mine against his.

Kayla was grinning to herself as she sipped her milk. She grasped my hand. "Let's go." She told me, pulling me up.

"What time are we leaving?" I asked.

"Be at the warehouse at 12 a.m on the dot." My dad instructed. We nodded and dashed out of the kitchen.

Kayla bellyflopped on my bed. "I haven't been on a mission in years." She laughed as she turned over so she was on her back with her limbs like a star fish.

I chuckled before walking toward her. "Why didn't you go on any?" I asked.

"It didn't feel right without you, I guess." She answered. I nodded and crawled in the bed.

She grabbed my waist and pulled me to her so I was straddling her waist.

She sat up and I was sitting in her lap. I wrapped my arms around her neck.

"We should go shopping for clothes." She whispered.

I nodded and grabbed her chin. "Later." I returned.

She pushed my lips to mine, wrapping her arms around my neck. My hands got lost in her hair as I pushed my body closer to hers.

Her tongue explored my mouth as mine did hers. "Shit." I heard a voice whisper. I quickly turned around not getting off Kayla.

There stood my three older brothers. Kayla's head was in my neck. I could feel her laughing.

"Hey guys." I greeted awkwardly.
