New chapters are up!

The courtroom was overflowed with Narnians from all over, awaiting the much anticipated trial of Camus. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy all sat in their white marble thrones looking over the crowd. Peter looked over at Edmund, who tightly gripped the arm rests of his chair.

"Edmund are you okay?" Peter asked him, concerned.

"I'm just nervous about this trial. What if he somehow convinces the judge and jury that he is not guilty?" Edmund asked, squeezing the arm rests with a grip so mighty he just might have cracked them.

"Edmund." Peter tried to calm him. "He will get the punishment he deserves. I promise."

Edmund nodded his head, though his refusal to look up at his brother told him he was still not convinced. Peter looked over to see Camus being escorted by two guards.

"Camus," the judge called out. "You are here today to testify for the attempted assasination of the High King. Do you have any evidence to support otherwise?"

"Yes. I had saved their lives from bandits before. If I really wanted to kill the High King, why would I not just have the bandits kill them?"

"Because you staged the attack!" Edmund shouted suddenly out of nowhere.

The whole courtroom gasped at this statement.

"Edmund, what are you doing?" Lucy whispered with her teeth clenched.

"Proving my suspicions once and for all." He rebounded as he walked down to the center of the courtroom. "I knew there was something suspicious about the attack. One, there is rarely any danger in Cair Paravel, especially towards the center. Two, Camus ran straight into an outnumbering amount of bandits and barley came out with a scratch. And three, no one knew where they could have been from and Camus claimed he could barely get a good look at them, but he says he was close enough to scare all of them away." He took a breath. "My case is closed."

"Why you little-" Camus started, but the guards held him back.

"That's why the archer didn't shoot me, you wanted to gain our trust so you could marry into the throne!" Peter exclaimed.

"Do you have any other evidence?" The judge asked him. Camus didn't say anything, he couldn't. "Very well. It is time to vote."

A few moments later the jury had voted. "Camus of Archenland, you are guilty of treason and for the attempted assassination of the Cair Royals." The judge read off. "You are now fourth banished from Narnia to one of the Dark Islands. If you ever return, you shall be executed effective immediately without any trial."

"No!" Camus yelled as the guards grabbed him. "I will get you Pevensies for this! Especially you two!" He pointed to Edmund and Lucy, but was finally dragged out of the courtroom never to be seen again. Edmund and Lucy looked at each other relieved that he was gone...until now.
