What a journey it has been! The final chapters are out and I wanted to thank everyone who read this series, voted, commented, or even added to their reading list! It was truly fun writing it and I definitely plan to write more stories in the future. So here is the last update! Thank you all!

The Dawn Treader had made its final journey towards the one place that every individual in their life dreamed of seeing - Aslan's Country. The Five Rulers sailed till the division of the ocean where the currents slowed down and the bed of water lilies began. The water had transformed to clear glass, slow ripples appeared the further in they became. Caspian and the Pevensies requested the crew to lower down a boat for them to abide by what Aslan told them; to travel to the furthest East to meet him. The crew granted their King's wish and responded almost immediately.

"So will we," Peter spoke on behalf of everyone.

Susan did not speak for most of the part, which made Lucy very curious as to what was running inside her head. She had never seen her so speechless before, nor had Edmund. Lucy and Edmund shared secret glances. They noticed their elder sister stealing glances at Caspian like she did even during the Second Battle of Beruna.

The boat reached the shores of the only wall that mattered, and this wall was the moving yet frozen ocean wave.

It splashed water at whoever stood on the sandy beach and it was a true beauty on its own. The Five walked towards it and stood at one point where Aslan greeted them. "Well done, children. Well done."

"Aslan," Lucy started. "Is this your country?"

"My country lies beyond," he beckoned towards the ocean wave.

"Can I ask if..." Edmund started.

"You may not know what has happened to the departed, but know that you will see him again." Aslan said. "You have reached the end of the journey." He looked one by one at the siblings and then at the giant wave of water, which opened up to give way to a magical pathway, perhaps the last one that the four would travel through.

"Are we going back to England now?" Peter asked.

"If you must."

"Wait," Susan said. She looked at Peter and his big blue eyes. "Maybe we should...."

"Maybe we should stay." Edmund completed, and she looked at him gratefully.

"What?" Lucy asked, her voice filled with hope after a really long time."

"We never thought that we would come back, Peter. We have got a second chance." Susan said and then looked at Caspian. "I've got a second chance."

Caspian smiled. "I've rebuilt Cair Paravel in your name, in case you ever came back. But I didn't expect the journey to be so short. Whatever you decide, know that you are my family."

Lucy looked at Aslan with hope in her eyes, shining brighter than any sun. "Can we?"

Aslan smiled. "Life comes down to choices, children. You can either go to your world or stay here and live as Kings and Queens, because Narnia might need you once more to keep peace between the kingdoms."

The Pevensies look at each other and are uncertain of what to do. "I suppose we could go back," Peter spoke up.

"Why?" Susan asked.

"What will the Professor think?" He asked all of them.

"Do you really not want to right your wrongs?"

"We left Narnia when they needed us most. This is our time to fix that." Lucy reminded them.

"Come on, Peter. Narnia is our true home and you know it. Do you honestly want to go back and study for that exam?" Edmund asked him.

"I never did like exams." He smiled. They all laughed and gave one big group hug.

"And all our family is here! Well, except for Eustace." Lucy sadly smiled.

"He may join you once more, when Narnia is in need of him." Aslan assured her.

"I think all of us know the answer then," Peter said.

Aslan knew their answer before they did themselves and hence closed the door to England. He looked up at all of them and smiled. "Welcome back, Sons and Daughters of Adam and Eve." And then, He was gone. He had vanished as suddenly as he arrived. The five were sad He had been gone, but couldn't wait to see Him again.
