The swords that lay waiting in the cabin of the Dawn Treader had a mind of their own. The swords were shining in the sunlight that was glistening through the skylight, almost as if they wanted to tell the crew something...
The dawn of time arrived when Aslan created the country and crowned King Frank and Queen Helen as the rulers of Narnia. The King and Queen pledged to rule for the times to come. They had befriended a powerful magician in the countryside and vowed to fight against any evil that the future was going to hold for them.
They forged seven swords from the heart of the tallest mountain that would hold the power to defeat their enemies in their times of need with the help of the magician. The swords had sacred words on them, given from the mountains themselves. The seven swords were given to the Seven Knights of Narnia and as the years passed by and history was being forgotten, the swords were passed onto the Seven Lords of Narnia.
Whether it was by any miracle or fate, the seven processors protected it with their life and no other force could break the alloys.
Lucy looked at the spellbook, knowing that there had to be something that connected all of the clues together. Peter and Susan were breaking their heads as they went through all the dusty books that were available to them. Edmund was also trying to help by examining the poem, while Reep was reading old history books.
"King Edmund." Reep called out. "Do you think this will help at all?" He gestured to a page in his history book.
Edmund looked over and read the page Reep was talking about. His eyes widened as he looked at Reep and then back at the page. "Yes, Reep this will certainly help!" He looked over at Lucy, who stood there confused on why Edmund was so excited. "Lucy, I need you to go get the others! It is important!"
"What is it, Ed?" She asked, even more confused.
"Just go!" Edmund told her, as he nearly forced her to head down to the cabins.
Lucy came back up with Susan, Peter and Caspian. Susan spoke up. "Edmund what is going on?"
"I found a whole origin story on the seven swords..." He went on to explain the whole story about the forging and the bequeathing from knight to knight. "These swords we have are very powerful, and I think I figured out the next clue to our puzzle."
"How?"
"Examine the swords. Notice anything interesting?"
Peter and Susan placed the swords on the table and gasped. "There are words on them." Susan pointed out. "I thought that only Peter's sword had them."
"Now, we know the truth of why my sword only has the last line." Peter smiled to himself.
"This makes so much sense!" Lucy exclaimed and placed the paper where the poem was written on the table. "Remember the seven alliage."
"Alliage." Susan whispered. "That's why I felt that word was familiar!" She exclaimed. "Alliage translates to alloy and what are swords made of?"
"Alloy." Caspian answered.
"Remember the dawn of time." Peter read out. "That's when the swords were forged."
"And we have six swords." Edmund smiled, proud at Reep and himself for figuring it out.
"We have Peter's sword which says, When he shakes his mane, there shall be spring again." Lucy said even though she knew about it all her life.
"When Aslan comes in sight," Susan read out.
"At the sound of his roar," Edmund said.
"Sorrows will be no more." Caspian read out.
"When he bared his teeth," It was Reep's turn.
"Winter meets its death," Peter breathed out.
"We only need one more sword..." Edmund smiled.
"We know how to defeat Camus." Lucy revealed.
That's it for now! See you next time! -23LucyGrace
