That night, everyone hurdled together against the fireplace, trying to keep themselves warm against the worst frigid storm that the Dawn Treader had faced since she started sailing.
"Reep?" Lucy called out.
"Yes, Your Majesty?"
"You've been very quiet since we came. If I may ask, why is that?"
"Yeah, Reep you haven't been threatening to kill anyone." Edmund added.
The mouse chuckled and held onto his rapier. "What do you want me to talk about?"
"How can you talk, if you don't mind my asking?" Caspian asked, curious that the mouse was ready to talk in the years that he had known him.
"When Aslan was on the Stone Table during your reign," He referred to the Pevensies. "My ancestor was one of the mice that cut his binds. As a reward for her kindness, Aslan gave her the ability to talk. I am now a Narnian like my fellow creatures"
"Lucy and I have met her then." Susan smiled at him.
"If you could fulfill a dream," Peter started. "What would it be?"
"It would be to have the privilege to see Aslan's country with my own eyes."
"Aslan's country?" Lucy asked.
"It has been my greatest privilege to have had my tail restored by Aslan. A dryad who used to take care of me always praised his country. It has been my lifelong dream to be privileged to go there one day. My entire life, I've tried to protect those in need under His name. If I may be worthy of anything else, it would be to be worthy of being there one day."
"There is no one more worthier than you." Caspian praised him.
"Well, I-"
"It's true." Peter said as he bowed down his head.
Lucy sat down in front of him and hesitated while asking if she could hug him. "Well, I suppose....just this once." He started but Lucy had already lifted him up into a hug. "Thank you, Your Majesty." Reep told her,
