Unsaid Love (JATP fanfiction)

• Chapter V •

Juilliard University, NY, 2021

Melanie's POV:

I wake up from a short nap to see Fiona in front of me grinning at her phone and I catch sight of an instagram account from an unfamiliar boy.

„First day of school and already a new crush, huh? That
went faster than I expected."

She rolls her eyes and laughs. „First of all, stop stalking me while you pretend to be asleep. And second, he's just my new and only friend in class."

„Sorry not sorry but I can't believe you that. I need
more details please."

„Well..." She takes a deep breath in. „His name is Jake. He loves volleyball just like I do. We went to a café after school. He's super cute. He-" She seems to be out of breath now.

„S-stop! Now I definitely see the no crush part." I reply with a rather shocked face.

„I promise he's not my crush yet. We'll see what happens, but maybe he even has a girlfriend because he talked about a special person..." She now looks disappontedly away.

„Just don't get your hopes up so much please or you'll get hurt."
I really hope he's a good guy, like Bryan, and doesn't mess around with her feelings.
How can she always trust everybody so fast? That's for sure a
reason why she needs me as her best friend.

                      „I already told you we're only friends and I won't have time for a boyfriend anyway. School and acting is now my priority number one."

„Good, that's what I wanted to hear." I give a reassuring smile.

We keep talking about how our first day of school went and Julie also comes home. After a calm night with lots of chatting and a good movie, we all fall asleep.

I am walking to the first class of today, dance history. It's actually the first real lesson because yesterday was only an orientation day.

I'm very excited so I sum to one of my favorite songs and get some curious looks in the hallway. I really don't care about such things but if Fiona was here, she would already be drowned by shame.

Reggie's POV:

„F*ck!" Luke exclaims out of nowhere and makes me flinch. „I can't bring even a single good sentence to paper today."

The three of us are chilling in our old garage and working on some songs but Luke seems to have a blockade.

„Do you know why?" I ask concerned, wanting to help him.

„No, maybe I just need a short break. What about going to Juilliard and check out the girls?" He proposes an awesome idea, at least in my eyes.

So I don't waste a second thought. „I'm in!"

Alex looks a bit tired, he might refuse. „Sorry boys, I'll pass and stay here. I still need to think a bit about... you know what." He replies and we nod understandingly before making our way outside.
