Disneyland, CA, 2021

Melanie's POV:
I wake up with a slight headache. Well, we had to enjoy our last night here to the fullest and for that, a cocktail or two can't miss.

Like always, I am the last one to wake up. The others are already packing up their last things and of course stressing me because we have to check out in 20 minutes. But before standing up, I observe what's happening around of me. I really see the boys and everyone seems so happy. I start smiling at the scene in front of me but Reggie suddenly blocks my vision.

„Good morning sloth." He chuckles.

I reply with a big yawn and stretch. „Shut up ghost."

I then finally start making myself ready to leave as well. I choose some edgy cargo pants and an oversized t-shirt as it's the most comfy for a long car ride.

„I'm so excited to go campiiiiiiing!" Fiona shrieks when we start
driving away from our Disneyland hotel. „But I'm also sad to
leave this magical place where we made a lot of irreplacable
memories together." She places her hand on the car window.

„I'm not sure about my feelings towards camping yet but at least
we only have to drive for 2 hours." Alex exclaims with a worried face.

„You're always afraid of new things, huh? But hey nothing bad
can happen to you as you're already dead." Julie winks and
laughs. Everybody except Alex joins laughing.

„W-wait Fiona you have a point with what you said a minute ago..."
My heart starts to beat quicker and quicker while nobody seems to understand
what I mean.

„I can see the boys because of this magical place. What if I can't anymore after we leave?" Now everyone seems concerned.

„Think positive Melanie! I guess we will find out soon but I don't think you have to worry about that. It wouldn't make sense it was only an effect." Fiona tries to reassure me.

„It doesn't even make sense that you started seeing us here, something like real magic doesn't exist. I think there was another reason for this." Reggie tells us his opinion, which actually makes sense.

„So you think it was love?" Luke blurts out with his brows wiggling.

„That's not what I said. And why would she see you and Alex then?" Reggie defends himself and the conversation fades into silence.

Julie puts on some loud music. „Bye bye sad mood, we don't need you. We're going camping and that's a reason to party right now!"

We start singing along the song and enjoy the rather quick ride observing the amazing landscape.

Big Bear Lake, CA, 2021

I recognize the big blue lake where we for sure are going to have some funny water fights and a few minutes later we arrive at the camping spot.

„I hope at least someone of you knows how to set up tents because
I definitely don't." I mutter into the round. „BUT I can make great
campfires!" I proudly add.

„You have us strong and intelligent men, of course we know how
to do that." Luke replies not looking very convinced though.
