Isaiah's POV

Letting my mate go was the hardest thing I've ever done. Frode had to hold himself back as well. "It's just difficult to know that he's flaunting himself with no mark" Frode grumbles . He's not exactly flaunting but I mean who wouldn't give him a second glance. I sigh as I head to my room and shower to get ready for my boys night. I hate having to use tonight for something else but it was the fastest way we could get them out and safest.

Once my hair is combed I begin adjusting my tie. "alpha, James Dehmer just sped out of the pack" I stop my movement as I register what he just said. James left ? Wait ..

"Did he see you?" I ask the most important question first.

"No , I could smell his anxiety. He was too busy trying to get wherever he was heading." Andrew replies. He was anxious ?

"I'll have Nadine look into it." What about Dean "Have you reached the house?"  I ask trying to keep my nerves at bay.

"Yes Alpha , we see your mate." I let out a breath of relief . A knock is heard

"Alpha they're ready" Nadine says . Just the person I needed

"Alright be safe . I'll be waiting for your return warriors ." I cut off the mindlink and walk towards the door to open it. "Nadine ." She looks right at me as I continue "I need you to find out where James went to and why ." She nods as she walks beside me. "Wait till we begin singing and make sure Lieser is able to replace you." She nods again as we head to the ceremony room.

I  stand next to my boys who were waiting on the stage "Welcome to our future Alphas birthday!" I say out loudly , Everyone claps and I usher Sage to stand in between his brother and I . Chef Natalie , as she loves to be called, strolls in with Sages cake. "Ready my son?" I ask Sage as I lit up the candles. He grins at me and nods. I start the group off and of course Blaise is singing the loudest. "Ok make your wish." I tell Sage. He blows the candle and we all clap. "Enjoy the rest of the party." . Some come close to the stage to give presents while others wait their turn by getting food first.

"Alpha I believe James headed to the Blue Crescent pack" Levi mind-links me , I excuse myself and nod towards Lieser to stand next to the kids. I then head to the bathroom closing the door behind me.

"What's your reasoning?" I ask as I hold the sink.

This time Andrew speaks " Luna Kai said they almost crashed on their way here... and it was a black mustang"

"Where exactly-"

"Their road." Levi answers. I feel the blood drain from my face. Why would he head that way. Have we been caught ?

"They have left on the bus." Andrew states "what do you want us to do Alpha?"

I look in the mirror and stare for awhile ."he's safe , they're all safe. We don't know exactly why he headed that way but what we do know is that he's not chasing them down ." I nod "you're right. He went the opposite way."

"Get the bodies ready. We are going through with the plan."

"Yes Alpha" they both answer. I open the faucet and wet my face to cool down. It'll all be ok.

I walk out and head towards Rogelio . "There you are!" He says as we say our hellos. "Having issues I see " he chuckles as he signals the bathroom.

"Apparently so" I laugh . I grab a drink from behind him and hold it in my hand for show. "Did you eat yet?" I ask as I look around the room. I hope Nadine can figure things out . I knew I should've kept a close look on James.
