James story (P38)

Isaiah's POV.

I continue with the party when suddenly kids run inside soaked "it's a storm!" an older kid yells, behind him more kids start running in and laughing as they slip on the wet floor. After them are teenagers pushing them out of the way "Alpha" Henry a boy who became an orphan from the war comes up to me as he tries to dry his face "there's something weird about this storm . I've never seen one like this. There was no warning whatsoever,it just came out of nowhere."

His friend Liza comes up to me and is about to open her mouth when suddenly a flash is seen outside and thunder is heard as well. The lights go out and the younger children start screaming as some teenagers. "Stay still! " I say using my alpha voice "children do not move , your parents will go to you."  The younger ones still  can't see well in the dark because their wolfs are hibernating. They can see better than humans for sure but that's about it. However the teenagers I heard screaming, probably just have a bad conscience. I begin to chuckle to myself as I look for my kids . "You did good Sage." Sage has a hand on Lieser and is hugging Blaise with his other arm.

I pick them up "the party will end early . When the storm passes head home. I'm going to see what we can do about the lights . Make sure to let me know if the electricity is gone at your houses as well." I walk out to the staircase with both of my boys holding until me "Sage are you sad that it ended early "

"No daddy. It was so cool how the sky did that on my birthday!" He says excitedly

"Why did that happen daddy?" Blaise asks. "I thought it wasn't the raisin  time."

I raised a brow . Raisin time ? "Oh! The rain season ."

"Yeah that!" He says blushing .

"The name you gave it sounds way cooler Blaise " I tell him as I enter their room "and you're right . It's not that time."  I pull out their pjs and tell them to change into them "no bath I guess." They both share a grin as they start taking their suits off. I use my phone light  for them , meanwhile I check if I have any missed calls. Shit my phone is about to die. It's ok he'll call the pack phone anyways , wait I don't think I even gave him my number ugh what an idiot how could I forget that. "We can get it when he calls' yeah you're right.

Once the kids get their pjs on, my phone completely dies "Oh no!" Blaise says . I go over to the window and pull open the curtain, light from outside begins to come in. There's hardly any now because it's passed 7 "yay it went away!" Shouts Blaise as both of them start to dance on the bed shaking their butts. I don't even know who showed them to dance like that.

"A,right get to bed. Lieser is going to wait outside ok. I need to see how I can fix the light." I tell them , giving them hugs.

"Ok daddy!" They both say as I cover them up. "Daddy can you sleep with us tonight ?" Asks Sage .

"Thanks for asking Sage, I was too embarrassed to ask " I tell him "I also didn't want to sleep alone" they both giggle at that . "I'll try to be fast." I walk out and Lieser is there already "thanks , I bet you're tired ."

"No problem Alpha , I'm here to always protect your kids" he nods. I thank him and start walking down. Nadine is waiting for me "Beta Nadine".

"Alpha the emergency power will soon come on. However a few pack members have fried wires." She lets me know as I begin to walk down the road.

"It was that bad ? Which ones exactly?" I ask looking around to see if anyone is watching .

"The ones heading north" she tells me . That's so strange. So in direction of the Lotus Pack. Could Alpha Kline have done this with some witches help. I thought all The descendente of Calypso had died. I mean there could be a different family who had the same power. Maybe distant family . "Nadine stay by the phone . If it's Alpha Kline let me know right away." I run towards the shed. Getting real tired of seeing it.

As I have the sight of the shed , I see a Levi who bows his head "he just woke up Alpha." I nod and head inside . Andrew is just leaning against the wall as some depressed teenager . While Victor is sitting across from a tied up James and his wife is taking of the bandage off his head. I walk up to them and glance at Victor .

He huffs as he crosses his arms. "He shouldn't have been speeding."  I shake my head and look at James who is already looking at me .

"What did Alpha Kline tell you?" I ask . He has tears in his eyes as he looks away . "Well he told me that an omega had escaped. And you were leaving to help him" he doesn't answer my comment and continues to look away.

"Do you want me to rough him up?" Victor asks. This causes his mate to wack him with a wet towel "ow babe!" She glares at him and looks away .

"That wouldn't be fair for your mate who obviously made sure James came in one piece ." I tell him.

"Thank you Alpha" Larissa says. "Thankfully he didn't get a concussion."

"Good work" I tell her, she smiles then takes a seat next to Andrew who is still out of it. He acts like he's the one who had a mate leave. I sigh and give my attention back to James "who's that omega?" I ask . He shrugs and looks down to his feet. I crouch in front oh him "you've been visiting her ." I state . He looks up at me "that's why you kept wanting to go to their pack."

"I-I." He mutters .

"Spit it out!" Shouts Victor . Again his mate gets up and whacks him in the back of the head. "Ow! Babe !"

I ignore them and continue talking "James you need to tell me the truth . I can't help you until you do." He nods and looks into me eyes.

"C-can I have water first?" His voice barely comes out. Larissa is about to go get it before I signal her to stop then look at Andrew.

"Andrew wake up." I tell him causing him to stand straight up "you're making Larissa do all the work man."

"Oh! I'm sorry Larissa" she just smiles and shakes it off. I point at the water and he hands it over realizing James can't hold it with his hands tied up. He looks at me " can I untie him?" I nod, so he does. James stretches a bit before grabbing the bottle and chugging the water , once he's done he takes a deep breath.

"Now?" I ask which he nods to.

"I met her three years ago, well when you went to the Blue Crescent Pack . I followed you there.. I thought you were repeating the cycle and I had to make sure it wasn't true."  So he was also against the way we lived. I knew he didn't support the ways of this pack but I wasn't sure if he was totally against it. "I was welcomed there of course because of who my dad was. However when I got to the pack house I never even went inside." He gives a soft smile as he remembers

"You got her scent ." I ask with a smile as well.

He chuckles "yes. Vanilla bean was calling to me. Before I even reached the door knob I had already turned around and headed to her direction ." He starts to frown "but when I found her I begin to smell blood" his eyes begin to tear up "she was getting whipped by some guard, I don't remember what I did exactly. I remember jumping on him and then opening my eyes again and she was hugging me and crying in my arms, I wanted to hold her tight but I couldn't because she was in so much pain . I looked around and there was blood everywhere and his body was everywhere"

He holds his head in his hands "you did what any mate would've done." I tell him.

He shakes his head "no."  lifting his head he continues  "because I couldn't control my wolf I had let their alpha know that she was my mate. He didn't care about me killing his guard. He was happy that he found a leash on me."

"What did you do for him." I ask.

"I was his messenger." He grabs my shoulders "Alpha I know all the traitors I promise I can point them out. I never did anything that would hurt you or your kids. I made sure to read all the letters before sending them . If they talked about you guys in any way that would hurt you , I would burn them"

"I know James. You annoyed me but I knew deep down you weren't like that." I stand back up and grab him a granola bar "so what did he tell you about your mate?" I ask.

"That she disappeared.. I thought it was a threat so I left."
