"Ow!"
I was jolted from my sleep by Andrew's elbow.
"Sorry!" He exlaimed, putting his massive left hand on my arm where he had elbowed me.
"It's fine, Andrew."
I wasn't exactly awake enough to fully remember the content of the next few minutes, but it was something along the lines of Jack not wanting to wake Katie up, and Nate getting Jenna, Katie and I clothes so we could stay the night. We got changed and went back to sleep.
"What's that smell?" I asked as soon as I woke up the next morning.
"I don't know."
"Smells like food. I'm in"
How could you not love food?
We walked into the kitchen where Jack was cooking.
"Good morning, madams."
"You seem to be more of a morning person." I noted.
"I guess so. You'll expect to see Nate in... What time is it?"
"9"
"5 hours."
Andrew walked into the kitchen.
"Good morning, children."
"Papa Dost has risen."
"Dost bless."
"Okay you're done now."
"Okay."
We ate our breakfast with some light morning talk that was something along the lines of:
"Jenna, is that your natural hair color?"
"What color is my hair?"
"Blonde..."
"Oh, maybe. I don't know."
"You don't know?"
"I just woke up, give me a break."
After we finished eating, we helped clean the kitchen.
"I'm gonna go wake Nate up." Andrew went into a room which I assumed to be Nate's.
"NATE!"
"What the fuck, man?"
"Time to wake up angel face!"
"Get the fuck off of me Andrew."
"Alright honey buns."
Andrew came back laughing quietly.
"I'm guessing Nate isn't much of a morning person?" I asked.
"No, he isn't."
"Breakfast better be good or you bastards are gonna feel my wrath."
Sounded like what I imagined my mom's thoughts in the morning were.
"Is it that time of the month, Nate?" Jack asked.
Nate grabbed a nearby spatula and hit Jack with it.
"Ouch!"
"You deserved it, shithead."
"So are you really from Canada?" Jack asked Jenna.
"Yes."
Jack was silent.
"Yes, i've seen a moose."
"How did you-"
"I'm used to it."
"And you're from....?"
"Pennsylvania."
"We're neighbors!"
"Sorry about that."
Jenna laughed. She understood how much I hated Pennsylvania.
"Hey, Nate, what are we doing today?" Andrew asked Nate.
"Nothing, why?"
"Maybe we could give these ladies a little tour of the city."
"I think that would be grand."
