Take A Walk by Passion Pit is the new theme song to my life i'm getting it tattooed on my forehead goodbye

••••••••••••••••••••

"Hey.. i'm sorry... again." Andrew said as he opened the door to the apartment.

"Don't apologize. I overreacted."

He went to continue apologizing. Just like in the park, I shut him up.

"Well..."

I laughed and sat down on the couch.

"So you wanted me to hear this song?"

"Yeah."

He played for about 30 seconds. Within those 30 seconds, any little bit of anger I had left was gone.

"That's really all I have."

"It's great."

"Thanks"

"But you need some lyrics in there."

"I know. But...I don't know."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not sure anymore..."

"Alright then. That makes total sense."

"Most nights I don't know!"

"Um"

"That's it!"

"What's it?"

I didn't get an answer. Instead, Andrew grabbed a notepad and began writing feverishly. He dramatically finished and handed me the notepad. I read over what he had written. It was amazing. Perfect, actually. I sighed as I finished reading, putting down the notepad in front of me and locking eyes with Andrew.

"I'm dating a truly talented man."

"You liked it?!" He asked, clearly excited.

"Loved it."

"Really?"

"Yes!"

He practically tackled me in a bear hug.

"Andrew you're going to break my back."

"Sorry!"

"It's alright."

"Are you up for a Friends marathon?"

"Is that even a question?"

-------

"So, since everyone else is going out tonight... why shouldn't we?" Andrew asked.

"Like what?" I asked incredulously.

"We could see a play"

"A play?!"

Another thing I got a little too excited about. Kinda like parks.

"Yeah, like on Broadway."

"Yes! Yes! Let's go now!"

Within 10 minutes I had dragged Andrew to the middle of Times Square to the tickets booth. The line wasn't very long at all. We both studied the available tickets.

"That's a lot of 'no tickets available's" Andrew noted.

I studied the sign for a little more and pointed at one.

"Columbus?"

"It seems interesting."

"Okay then."

After the tickets were purchased, we started heading towards the theater.

"This is really nice." I said after a minute.

"It is."

I looked down at our intertwined hands.

"You literally have the biggest hands ever."

"Or maybe you have the smallest hands ever."

"I guess I never thought about it that way."

By the time we got to the theater, it was 5 minutes to showtime. We took our seats and watched as the most fascinating rendition of Columbus's journey was performed.

"That was amazing." I said as the curtain closed and the lights were brought up.

"I did enjoy that. Hey, do you want to head over to the park?"

"Sure."

We walked out onto 6th avenue and kept walking until we hit the park. It was still decorated, just like it had been the first time I had been here with Andrew.

"It's so beautiful at night." I remarked.

"The park or you?" Andrew asked.

"Oh stop it"

"Okay." Andrew stopped walking.

I just stared at him.

"Let's sit." He finally said.

He walked over to a bench and we sat down.

"So we've been dating for a while now, huh?"

I nodded.

"I've honestly never felt this way about anyone. You make me feel like the happiest guy in the world, Casey."

"You're just saying that."

It's not that I thought he was just saying it... I don't really know what I was thinking.

"Then tell me i'm just saying 'I love you'. Because I deeply and truly do. And I know I always will."

I started tearing up. Not something I did often. All of a sudden, Andrew got down on one knee and pulled a box out of his pocket, opening it to reveal a ring.

"Casey, will you marry me?"
