After everything was settled again, a short girl with red hair stepped into the bar.

"Anyone sitting here?" She asked Katie, who shook her head.

I didn't really pay attention much to what happened next. I was too involved in my conversation with Andrew to care. At some point Jack briefly introduced us to the girl, Madi. Every few minutes, I would look over to see Jack and Madi, flirting like crazy.

"Where ya going?" Nate asked Katie.

I turned around to see her shrug and walk out of the bar.

"Maybe we should go after her..." Andrew suggested.

"The bar closes in a few minutes. We'll be able to catch up." Jenna assured.

As if he had heard us, George announced that the bar was closing. We stood up and waited for Jack to say bye to Madi.

"Can I see you again tomorrow?" Madi asked Jack.

"Of course."

She kissed him on the cheek and left.

"I don't know why you were complaining." Andrew folded his arms.

Jack laughed.

"So, tell us about Madi." Nate insisted.

"Well what do you want to know?"

"Is she cool?"

"Yeah."

"Fun to talk to?"

"Oh yeah."

"iPhone or blackberry?"

"What kind of question is that?"

The questions kept coming until we saw a drunken figure struggling to walk. Jack rushed ahead. We followed. The figure was Katie, who was now in Jack's arms.

"Is she okay?" I asked.

I hadn't seen Katie this drunk in a while.

"She'll be fine."

Jack carried Katie all the way to her bed, covering her in a blanket. She was passed out. Jack stepped quietly out of the room, shutting the door behind him.

"Well, it's been quite a night."

"You can say that again."

"Well, it's been quite a night."

"I didn't mean it literally, shithead."

Jenna and I laughed.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow." Andrew said, giving me a kiss. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

---------------

It was 11 AM when Jenna and I decided that it was time to wake Katie up.

"NOSE GOES!" Jenna yelled, slamming her finger to her nose.

"Unfair."

"Says the one who got the biggest room."

"Hold that against me some more, why don't you?"

"I think I will."

I rolled my eyes, walking into Katie's bedroom.

"Katie, wake up!"

She dug herself deeper into the cocoon of blankets she was in.

"Katie, you have to get up."

She shook her head.

"Hangover?"

She nodded as I handed her the notepad.

"What happened last night?"

'Well, first Jack was telling me about what had happened to his guitar. Then the bar fight. Then Madi walked in and I had no one to talk to. I just drank. A lot. And then I left. I was too drunk to even walk. Jack had to carry me. I just felt alone, you know?'

"Katie, you could've just talked to Andrew and I."

'No. I couldn't. I can't keep up.'

"We would wait!"

'Just let me sleep. For like the next five years.'

"Take care of yourself. We're going out."

'Fine.'

And with that, I left Katie to sleep and got ready to go out with Andrew.
