Third Person POV

Harry didn't have a very clear idea of how he had managed to get back into the Honeydukes cellar, through the tunnel, and into the castle once more.

All he knew was that the return trip seemed to take no time at all. He hardly noticed what he was doing because his head was still pounding with the conversation he had just heard.

Why had nobody ever told him? Dumbledore, Hagrid, Mr. Weasley, Cornelius Fudge?

Why hadn't anyone ever mentioned the fact that Harry's parents had died because their best friend had betrayed them? Did Jilly know??

Ron and Hermione watched Harry nervously all through dinner, not daring to talk about what they'd overheard because Percy was sitting close by them.

"What is going on with you three??" Jilly asked while taking a bite of blueberry pie.

No one answered her.

As they walked back towards their common room, Harry pulled Jilly into an empty corridor.

Ron and Hermione both exchanged stressed glances and followed them.

"What??" Jilly furrowed her eyebrows as Harry forcefully dragged her by the wrist farther into the corridor.

Once they were far enough, Harry whipped around to face her. "Did you know!"

"Know what?" Jilly's heart raced slightly faster, an apprehensive look falling on her face.

"Sirius Black is the reason my parents are dead, and that we're his godchildren?!"

Jilly froze.

What?!

Jilly's eyes widened, shock jerking itself onto her face. Ron and Hermione stood a little farther away, looking worried.

Jilly had known that Sirius was the reason that Harry's parents were dead, but she hadn't known that Sirius Black was her godfather, and as well as Harry's..

She hesitated on telling Harry that she knew the first bit, not knowing how he would react.

"You hesitated," Harry angrily glanced at her "You knew, and you didn't even tell me..."

"No- Harry I didn't know that he was our godfather-"

"-So you knew that he's the reason they're dead?!"

The way that Jilly looked at him tipped Harry off.

"I just- I didn't want to hurt- Harry you have to understand- please don't get-"

He shoved her backwards into the wall. Her back hit it with a small thud.

"Why didn't you tell me!"

Jilly pushed him back, narrowing her eyes at him. "I didn't want you to feel more hurt than I know you're feeling now!"

Harry was now the one with his back pressed against the wall, Jilly's face just inches from his own, glaring with a ferocious sort of pride. "I know what you're thinking, it wasn't because I thought you couldn't handle-"
