Ophelia thought she knew what stress was.
Last year, there was a raving murdering lunatic running about the castle, now he's her adopted uncle, she once overworked the batter on Hermione's 12th birthday cake and was scared it was going to come out as hard as Snape's stone-faced grimace, it turned out alright, and she made cake-pops for the first time. More recently she had been dealing with the stress of being Harry Potter's girlfriend, something she didn't think as a consequence, she didn't regret it, but she did have to get just as fierce as Hermione when someone has dogtagged pages in a book she let you borrow.
But no, none of this added up all together compared to the stinking heaping stenching pile of crap that was her exam to get on the legal board.
Harry had never seen her so agitated, she was making sneaky notes during charms and Draco accidentally nudged her elbow, making her drag a line through them.
The next thing he knew Draco was howling as he clutched at his trousers, Ophelia had made his boxers shrink by 5 sizes, he even overheard Pansy Parkinson saying that she had made them so small that she had cut off blood supply to his legs and Madam Pomfrey had to cut them off of him.
Ophelia laughed at it, saying "Oh that's very ballsy of him."
It didn't end there, he was sat beside her at breakfast the day before the exam and she was rereading the legal book for the umpteenth time that week, that when Seamus asked her to pass the eggs they were promptly flung at him without a single spell or incantation uttered, she was intimidating when she was determined he decided, but it was most definitely an attractive quality about her.
The closer it came to the exam, the more frequent her eyes would turn purple.
It was frequent enough that Ron had asked him about it, the morning of the exam itself as Ophelia had dedicated a portion of her table towards her notes which she was scanning over and over and over like her life was depending on it, eyes a deep shade of royal purple, nothing too dark but when her eyes were naturally brown people picked up on it.
"So, is that a permanent thing now? The purple eyes?" he asked Harry quietly, looking over his breakfast at her.
Harry shook his head, glancing sideways at Ophelia who turned her page, eyes going back and forth feverishly, you might've thought she was possessed. "No, she's just concentrating, it happens when she's concentrating or stressed, I think that's what it is anyway, I don't want to bother her about it."
"Do you not like it or something?" Ron asked, biting into his eggs.
Harry's eyes widened as he shook his head, "No, I like them, they're cool and I only meant the reason behind why they're glowing in the moment."
Ron nodded, looking over at Ophelia's plate of breakfast which had been untouched.
"Hey Phee, are you eating that?"
Harry braced himself for impact, as the plate lifted from the table and placed gently beside Ron.
"Thanks Phee-"
At that moment, Hermione came in from behind them and took the plate from Ron who was just about to grab a sausage, putting it down in front of Ophelia she knocked on the hardcover of the book Ophelia was holding, she loosened her wrist, book dropping like a drawbridge as she looked over at Hermione.
A stare that would scare daises to grow faster.
Hermione, very familiar with Ophelia's drive and concentration, and being her best friend brushed it off without consequence.
"You need to eat Phee, you need the energy for the exam."
"I need to study Hermione, I'm not sure if they'll ask me about the Guidelines for the Treatment of Non-Wizard Part-Humans or just anything in general... I'm worried I'll get it wrong." said Ophelia frowning, burying her face in her arms.
