Ophelia had taken her love for baking to a new extreme given her lack of sleep gave her an obscene amount of time to kill and without access to any potent sources for her to gather information on Horcruxes she was forced to preoccupy her thoughts with something and was now making batches of everyone's favourite treats to fill up a cake box of each treat, that way everyone got a little bit of everything when she sent off her letters, she was going as far to write the recipients name in icing. Lily got a whole Carrot Cake to herself, Harry got a whole bunch of Treacle Tarts, Hermione got Angel's Food Cake, Ron got a salted caramel cake and her cousins got batches of cookies.

It was three in the morning and Ophelia had just finished dusting off a freshly cooled batch of fairy cakes with icing sugar, Harry's black hoodie was rolled up to her elbows though the hood was up as she carefully picked them up and placed them into small care packages.

She was tying the ribbons around the boxes when she heard a light rap at the window, turning around with her wand in hand she saw Regulus leaning against the doorframe to her garden with a lopsided half-smile.

Whatever good mood she was in immediately vanished as she walked over to the door and pulled the curtains over the window, walking over to the kitchen window just in time to see Regulus' face peernig through it -- "Phee please-!"-- she shut the curtains and turned her back to it, pointing her wand at the door to seal it a second later there was a crack and Regulus appeared a metre or so away from her.

She whirled around in fury, her nostrils flaring. "Did you really have to apparate -- you could've woken my sister up you inconsiderate fuck!" she hissed at him, shaking her head as she pulled out her wand to make the ribbons tie themselves neatly into bows, "Honestly you can't go about every place like you own it--"

"Well you didn't exactly leave me much of a chance," he said fiercely, "You've been ignoring me for a week -- how am I supposed to apologise to you if you won't even talk to me?"

"Maybe because I don't want to talk to you right now?" she said, "Maybe because you used the worst experience of my life against my boyfriend in a pathetic battle to prove you were right about him -- and you couldn't have been more wrong!"

"Look, I'm sorry about what I said -- I just felt like he forgot about it--"

"No, he definitely hasn't -- he gets a reminder every time he fucking looks at me." she said gesturing to the scars across her face as she brought over the bowls to the sink to start cleaning them, "You had no right, no right at all to use that over him-!"

"I know that," he said, "I knew that then, I was being selfish and entitled... and I couldn't be more sorry than I am, it wasn't fair on you at all--"

"Or Harry."

"Or Harry," he added leaning against the counter, "I've been back less than a month and already it feels like I made more enemies than I had before I died in the first place, the last of which I didn't expect to be you -- I'd never ever have thought I'd have done that to you, ever in a million years."

"You're not an enemy Reg." she said, scrubbing harshly as a whisk, "You were being a dick."

"One hundred percent," he said nodding, "And I have to make it up to you now, I had to make it up to you before but now I'm in debt--"

"You don't owe me anything--"

"I owe you everything." said Regulus, sticking his finger into some leftover buttercream and bringing into his mouth, "This is delicious by the way."
