Merle Dixon is dead.
Today is the day we are going to a war..

I push all of mu thoughts away.I can't be thinking about it,i just want to ignore my stress and stay focused.

We want to make seem prison abandoned,so Woodbury would believe it,and we could ambush it.They had numbers,we didn't.So we had to do a smart play,or we'd loose everything and everyone.

I walk out of the  my cell after i get ready and I check in every cell to make sure everyone's out when i see Carl starring at a picture frame from me,him,mom and dad smiling.

I walk in and as soon as he notices me,he hides it.I hug him from behind and he just stares at nowhere.

"U don't need to hide it,champ."I say. "That was a good day,maybe one of the best."

He nods,but still silent.

"Hey,"i say and i kneel down in front of his so that i can see him. "I know everything's so shitty.Hell,you should be worrying about your homework not a damn war or killing the dead ones walking around."I smile sadly then i hug him.He's just feeling like hell after mom and i get that..

"I wish you were there."He whispers in my shoulder.

"Me too."I  bite my lip and i fight the tears in my eyes. "When you're with Hershel and Beth,stay safe and protect our little sister,alright sheriff?"

He nods. "You too.I chose a name for her."

I smile .and i leave a kiss on his cheek. "what?"

"Judith."He says and my smile grows. "It's beautiful."i say and he smiles a bit. "Now,let's go okay?"i say,he nods.We both walk out of the prison.Everyone's getting ready for this battle up.

"Carl."Dad tries to talk with Carl and grab his hand,but he just pulls away and dad sighs.He looks at me.

"He's not okay.What do we except from him?"I sigh and i walk towards Daryl.He's doing whatever on his bike.He looks up at me and cleans his hands.

"You know,he says. "Merle had never done such thing in his whole life."

"He gave us a chance."I say i put my hand on his. "I'm just..i'm sorry that you lost him,Daryl."

"Why do you care?"he says and i sigh.It's just him,one time good and then bad then switch.I don't blame him,he's just lost his brother and he's not right.

"He did this for us.I ain't that mean and heartless to feel fucking happy for his death.He was your brother no matter what,so yeah i care."I offer him my hand. "Come on,get up."

He takes my hand and stands up. "I know how you are,Ken."he says more like a whisper.He was there for me back in the farm when i was anyone else rather than myself,i just can't see him like this.

I grab his hand and look so deep in his blue eyes. "Stay safe."I say and he brushes his thumb on my cheek. "You too."he whispers and i smile.

"Kendall."Glenn calls my name. "You ready?"he asks and i glance over Daryl one more time before walking towards Glenn.

"What's the reason for the sparkles in your eyes,nice guy?it ain't for killing Governor,is it?"I smirk and he gives me the biggest smile.

"Haven't you talked with Maggie?"He asks and i raise my eyebrow still with a smirk.Maggie stands next to Glenn showing me the ring on her finger smiling as big as Glenn.

"Holy shit!"I say with excitement and j hug Maggie so tight. "This is the best news i've ever heard during tis whole damn time,Maggie!Jesus Christ,i'm so happy i'm gonna cry."I say and we all let out a laugh.

I then hug Glenn. "I'm so happy for you two."I say and he smiles again. "Thanks."he says.

"Maggie Rhee looks damn cute on you."I wink at Maggie and she giggles.

"Let's go,we have to stay in positions."Glenn says and after taking a rifle I walk back to the prison with him.

"Gear up."He says and hands me a riot gear.

"We're gonna get this shit done and throw a feast for it.We can get the walkers to dirty dance for us."I say and Glenn laughs.

"Shut up."He shakes his head still laughing. "Are you okay with doing this?"

"Yup.Dad wanted me to stay out of the prison with Hershel,Beth and Carl and there,Hershel would have wanted me to sit in the car feeding Judith.That fits who i've been before all of this,but now i want to be a part of taking care of our family."I say with a weak smile.

"I know."Glenn smiles back.

We walk up the stairs to our right places just like what we have planned and we wait in the silence for the rabbits to fall in our hole.

The sound of gunshots and vehicles declare those asshole arrival  and i take a deep breathe to be ready for whatever that might happen.If it wasn't for Morphines,hell i was crying from the pain and coulda shot myself in the head and dad wouldn't let me stay here to fight.

The walk inside of the prison and i wait and wait till i hear the sound of alarm so that they'll be running out from the tombs full of walkers and then we can draw them away.

The sound of alarms rises up to the sky and Glenn signals me then i nod.We both come out of out hiding spots stepping on the catwalk.

"Leave here!"Glenn screams at them while shooting them.We both never stop shooting until they get in their damn cars and leave.

I look at Glenn. "We did it?"

He nods and takes off the hat of the riot gear. "We did it.Come down."He says and after exchanging big smiles we both walk down and we meet everyone else.

"It's clear."dad says.

"We have to finish this."Daryl says.

"They're just gone,can't we just let it go?"Maggie says. "Last time we barely made it out of Woodbury."Neither Maggie not me and Glenn ever want to walk inside Woodbury again..

"No."Dad says. "We have to get it done and end this.We're going back."

Daryl and Michonne nodded to him,ready for leaving.

"We stay."Glenn says. "Governor might show up again.If he did,we're gonna hold him off."

Dad looks at me,Maggie and Glenn. "I appreciate that."he pats on his shoulder then he hugs me. "U okay?"he asks and i nod.

"Be careful out there,okay?"I tell him and leave a kiss on his cheek.He smiles and nods to me before walking back inside of the prison.

I look around..

Whoever we were before all of this,
And whoever we had to become after,
Now means something worthy.
We fight,we kill,we survive..
We're all a family and we'd do anything to keep it going that way.
I know this now..

Shooting at people's never been in my mind,but i think we've seen enough of what people can fucking do..

And here's us,
We win.
