Chapter 31

It's been a few years since I've been at this. We have the cure ark coming and things are very separate at this stage, so I'm having to time jump a bunch

The next few weeks went by in a blur. The day after the town party, we found out that Klaus had killed Tyler's mom. Amity was pissed, she wanted him to leave our friends alone. She was only able to stay mad for a few days though. We needed him to help us through the next full moon.

She cautiously forgave him, but some promises needed to be made first. She made him promise to leave Tyler alone. To let him stay in town and be happy with Caroline. He tried to fight that, Tyler had turned his hybrids against him and made a fool of him. Amity had him wrapped around her finger though.

Christmas was around the corner, we spent one weekend decorating after we had gone out and gotten a tree. Our little family, along with Klaus and Elijah had made a day of it. We took the Suburban a couple of towns over to pick a nice tree. It was nice to act like a normal family. Not enemies that should be staying away from each other.

Spencer drove and we listened to Christmas music. Amity and I belted most of the songs, much to the annoyance and amusement of the boys. When we arrived we all got out and we took some pictures. Maybe we would do Christmas cards this year. Klaus held Joye and rubbed her back. I got some pictures of them and smiled as Amity leaned up and kissed her little cheek. The baby screeched and Klaus shook his head.

I took Elijah's hand and smiled up at him, "They're so cute. Don't you think?" He nodded as he kissed the back of my hand, "Yes, they are. It's so nice seeing my brother so happy. As I've said before, I've waited 1000 years for him to find happiness as he has with your sister and her child." I leaned up and kissed his cheek, "He won't have to worry about being hurt by her."

He nodded, I don't think he worried about it too much after getting to know Amity and knowing what she had been through. We caught up with them and Spencer wrapped an arm around me. He looked at Elijah, "So Elijah. I know you're like 1000, but at what age did you stop aging? Gotta make sure my sister isn't with a guy too old for her."

He looked at him and chuckled, it was funny seeing my brother talk so casually talk like that to one of the original vampires who could kill him in an instant, "I was 23 when I was turned, and if I'm correct Paige is 18, almost 19." I chuckled, "My birthday is next month. I'll be 19. You don't have to worry Spence, if he does something I just have to bite him to put him in a world of hurt."

Elijah nodded and made a face, "Yes now that you triggered your werewolf gene if you bite me I will indeed be in a lot of pain, hopefully, my dear brother would be close enough to help with that."

Klaus looked back at us from a tree he was looking at and chuckled, "I think it would depend on what you did, and if my Queen here said it was okay to end your suffering." Amity blushed and laughed, "Sorry, Elijah. It really would depend on what you did. But I know my sister can be a bit of a drama queen so you'd probably be okay."

I leaned up and kissed his cheek before going over to Amity, "You're so mean to me, I am not a drama queen." She gave me a look, "you sobbed for hours when he said he was going out of town. Don't you try and act like you aren't the biggest drama queen." She kissed my cheek and hugged me as we started looking at the trees more.

Spencer

It was nice spending time with my sisters and being able to get to know Klaus and Elijah better. I was proud of them for making their own decisions about what they thought of them and not fully trusting their friends' thoughts. I trailed behind a bit to take pictures before Amity came back and walked with me.
