Chapter 11

Paige

While Amity slept I went to the grill with Elena and Damon, I would never tell them that my sister and their number one enemy, had been having late night chats when they think I'm asleep. I had listened in on some of their conversations, and from hearing Klaus open up to Amity, my feelings towards him changed a little, I felt more sympathetic. He wasn't as bad as everyone thought, misunderstood yes.

Damon played darts while Elena complained about her issues and I sat by, drinking my coffee. I gagged when they started flirting and I looked away from them. I rolled my eyes and I looked around the room, I saw Klaus and one of his hybrids and put on a glare, would they really cause drama in a public place? What would Amity think about that?

"Don't mind me." Klaus had leaned against the table and his hybrid stood behind him as Klaus smirked some, "Klaus..." Elena looked scared and Damon took a few steps forward, "You really gonna do this in the grill, in front of everyone? It's a little beneath you, don't you think?" Klaus shifted and stood up some as I sipped my drink.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I just came down to my local pub to grab a drink with a mate. Get a round, then, would you Tony?" Klaus looked back at him and Elena seemed to realize something. Klaus looked back at Elena and smirked, Damon rolled his eyes, "I'm surprised you stuck around town long enough for happy hour." My phone started to ring as I pulled it out and Klaus talked, "Hello?"

There was panting on the other side of the phone, "Paige? Damn it... AHH, it's time. The baby is coming." I gasped and quickly gathered my stuff, I pushed Klaus out of the way for a second, "Gotta go, Amity went into labor. Good Luck with whatever this is." I ran out and towards the house to get to her, to then get her to the hospital.

Amity

I had been upstairs by myself playing my guitar when I felt pain in my back and then in my stomach. My eyes widened as I called mom, she left work to come get me, then I called my brother and sister telling them that the baby was coming. I grabbed my hospital bag and put on my flip flops before slowing making it down the stairs.

Mom made it home and helped me into the car as Paige ran down the street and jumped in panting, "I'm gonna be an aunt!" I laughed at her then cried out with a contraction. Mom looked back at us as she pulled out of the driveway.

"Spence is gonna meet us there." I nodded and panted some, "God this hurts so bad. Ouch ouch ouch!" Paige gave me her hand to squeeze and I squeezed it hard. Paige was texting away, probably telling all our friends I was going into labor. Caroline is gonna be so excited.

We pulled into the hospital and the nurses quickly got me into a room and hooked up to everything. Spence met us there as mom said and they were all by my side as I got my happy drugs and I got prepped for delivery.

I spent hours pushing and I was exhausted, I cried and squeezed mom's hand, saying that I couldn't do it and I was so tired. Monitors started to go off and I panted as I started to get dizzy. With all my strength and a few more pushes, I heard my baby cry.

Amity

They cleaned and did tests to make sure my baby girl was healthy and well. I laid back in bed and yawned, I was exhausted, and loopy. They laid Joye on my chest and I held her close, she let out a few cries as a few happy tears rolled down my cheeks. I was elated to have my baby in my arms finally. I rubbed her little head and looked down at her, "Hi baby girl... I'm your mommy..." I held her close as Paige came back into the room and smiled at me.

"Hi there mommy, how is she?" I smiled and rocked her, "She's perfect, absolutely perfect." Joye grabbed ahold of my finger gently and made soft sounds as Paige leaned over us. She smiled down at her and cooed, "Hi pretty girl... Oh, Ames, she looks like you." I looked up at her and smiled, I was lucky that for now, my daughter looked like me. Paige snatched her from my arms and I whined, looking at her, "Hey, mine..."
