Amity

A few days after prom Klaus left for New Orleans. I missed him already but he'd be back soon with what he found out. Stefan and Damon had Elena locked up trying to get her humanity back. We were mostly kept out of the loop. I hadn't been feeling well the last few days, probably the effects of the approaching full moon.

Rebekah came over and asked us to go with the to the Salvatore's to see if she could be of help and give our friends a peace offering and see if she could sway Matt into giving her a chance. Paige and I agreed as I got Joye packed up and ready to go. We got burgers from the grill and a few other snacks before heading over.

Caroline stood up when she saw us and I waved. She came in and glared at Rebekah as she held out a burger, "I don't mean to interfere. It's just I happen to know all they keep in this house is blood and booze. So I brought a peace offering. Burgers?" Matt smiled and hopped down the stairs, taking it from her, "Thanks. Hey Ames, Paige. Moral support for Rebekah?"

I chuckled, "Yeah, and I brought Joye for baby snuggles. Care come get your niece." I pulled joy out of her wrap, "Seven months already, can you believe it?" Care scooped her up and nuzzled her, "We don't need Rebekah for this." Rebekah bit her lip, "I figured I could help Matt study too.. he mentioned he was failing classes and needed a study buddy."

Caroline made a plan and ran out the door to go get study supplies. We laughed and sat down and started talking. I let Bekah hold Joye as I leaned back. Graduation was still a few weeks away so we didn't have much time to get Matt caught up or he wouldn't be able to walk.

Matt went and got his backpack from his truck and we started going over his work with him. Rebekah helped him with Italian, I helped him with history, and Paige helped him with math.

As it got dark I got worried about Caroline, "What is taking her so long? She's not answering my texts or calls." I looked up when the door opened and frowned when Katherine came in, "What the hell are you doing here?" Katherine smirked at Rebekah and looked over at Joye and I as she started crying, "Didn't you get the memo? I'm here to knock some sense into poor emotionless Elena."

Matt jumped up, "Are you out of your mind?!" Damon glared at him, "Shut it, prom king. Unless you want me to lock you up in there with her. I suggest you sit down and let the adults handle this." Matt stormed out to try and get ahold of Caroline.

When Elena escaped Paige and I went home to get Joye out of there. I didn't want a hungry Elena anywhere near my baby...

~~~~~The day before graduation~~~~~

It had been a few weeks since Elena had turned her humanity back on. Damon had snapped Matt's neck to trigger it. Elena spent days reeling from what she had done and finally settled on hating Katherine. Caroline invited Paige and I out to send out grad announcements. Now that we didn't have to hide from my father I sent all my family announcements and Paige sent the Pomanada's one.

Elena filled one out for a family in Denver and seemed a bit strung out the whole time. When Caroline mentioned Katherine, Elena gripped her wrist and asked if she knew where she was. Paige patted her hand and peeled it off Caroline, "Elena, we love you, and we know Katherine is the root of all things sucky in your life. But please chill. Do we need to find you some Xanax?" She shook her head and we walked to the mailbox to send our announcements.

On the way back from the mailbox I stopped by a trash can and threw up. I kept getting random waves of nausea. Caroline frowned, "Amity it's been weeks. Are you sure you're okay? You're not pregnant are you?" I shook my head, "Vampires can't procreate. It's impossible. It's probably just a bug or something. It's not all the time."
