kavia pov

me and mattia talked for a long time, until around 7 am when my alarm went off to tell us we could call alana.

it was really nice talking to mattia. my nerves had faded a little and i learned a lot about him, he learned a lot about me. i was starting to like him and i knew it would be bad.

when my alarm went off it woke mariana up, and she slowly opened her eyes and sat up next to me.

"did you guys sleep at all?" she questioned yawning.

"no." we said in sync and then laughed quietly.

"you've just been up talking the whole time?" she asked raising an eyebrow at me.

"yeah..." i replied.

"we were literally just talking i promise." mattia spoke up from behind me and i realized what mariana was getting at.

"oh my god you're so gross!" i said slapping her arm and heard mattia laughing behind me.

mariana started laughing too and for a second i forgot she was mad at me. it didn't last long.

"whatever, can we leave now?" she said ending our laughing fit.

"um, yeah i'll call alana now, i guess we should go wait outside by the car." i replied, standing up.

"is there any way we can repay you? i have some cash in the car or if you want-" i started but mattia cut me off.

"no, it's fine i told you, you're good. don't worry about it. do you guys need anything else? do you want me to come out and wait with you?" he smiled.

"thank you so much really, we appreciate it. and you don't have to, it's okay." i answered. i wanted to say yes. so me and mattia could keep talking. so no strange men would come up to us.

"are you sure?" mattia questioned, noticing my hesitation.

i looked over at mariana and saw her grabbing her stuff, not having a care in this conversation.

"maybe just until my sister gets here, if you don't mind. it's just an unfamiliar city and i get nervous walking in my own neighborhood." i replied.

"it's no problem, i get it." mattia reassured me and i felt my shoulders relax.

me and mariana grabbed our things and followed mattia out to my dad's car. when we did mariana got back in the passengers seat and started to fall back asleep. me and mattia stood outside next to the car and i dialed alana's number. after way too many rings, it went to voice mail.

"she didn't answer?" mattia questioned. i was standing on the sidewalk and he was leaning against the car looking up at me. damn he was hot.

"nope." i replied, calling her back.

i called about 7 times before she finally answered. the banks family sure were deep sleepers.

"finally." i sighed and watched a small smile form on mattia's lips.

"kavia? what the fuck it's 7:30 in the morning." alana said with a raspy voice. i heard her footsteps for a moment before she spoke again. "where the fuck are you and mar?!" she sounded angry which made me nervous.

"we left to go find somewhere to watch the sunrise and the car broke down in a random neighborhood." i said while holding eye contact with mattia. god his eyes were pretty.

"why didn't you tell me?" alana huffed on the other end of the phone.

"i didn't want to wake you up. we were gonna bring back some breakfast." i replied nervously.
