"Yo sister came in here yesterday and brought some shoes. I meant to tell you that" Trin informed me while we stood near the entrance of foot locker. The mall was empty like usual on the weekdays
"Which one?" I asked as I pushed my newly done knotless braids behind my shoulder and leaned against the frame of the window of the store
"The older one. Autumn I think"
"She had the kids with her?"
"Just the son. She said the two girls were with the daddy"
"She brought shoes for who?"
"Her nigga. She said she was putting a birthday gift together for him"
I mentally rolled my eyes. Yet my momma always giving her money for bills
"Oh okay" I said out loud, looking at my nails "I need to get these shits done"
"Tryina make sure them nails stay cute for Dre huh?"
"Girl Ain nobody worried bout Dre"
Trin tilted her head to the side and pursed her lips together making me laugh
"See you can't even believe yo own lying ass. Let me find out you really liking him"
"I really am Trin but you know.. I don't wanna jinx nothing cause I know how trifling niggas can be"
"Some are, but then again.. there are some good ones. You just gotta see which kinda nigga you got"
"I hope he good cause like you said, I really do like him"
"When the last time you talk to him?"
"This morning. He came to the house last night and stayed until I fell asleep then he called me on my way to work"
"Well he seem just as interested as you Ana"
"Well" I shrugged as three females walked in and one, looked mixed, carried a little girl on her hip. The baby had to be around 1 and she was beyond beautiful with big eyes and thick, curly hair
"Excuse me. I came in here yesterday and asked about these shoes" one of the girls said to Trin while she pointed to a pair of shoes and Trin walked over to her
"Oh yeah. You wanna get em?"
"Yeah. In a size 7"
"Alright"
As Trin went to the back to get the shoes the girls looked around and two of them occasionally looked at me
"You a new employee?" One of them eventually spoke up and I shook my head
"No, I just work in the mornings"
"Oh. You pretty. What's ya name?"
"Thank you" I smiled "Analise"
The girl holding the little girl make some kinda nose before looking at her friends
"I'm bout to go take Gianna to kids foot locker, meet me down there when y'all done" she said with a slight attitude in her voice, switching the little girl to her other hip and I rose my eyebrow as a bell went off in my head.
"Hold on Aysia I'm bout to walk witchu" the other girl that kept looking at me said before following her out of the store and Trin came from the back, going to ring the last one up. After the girl paid for her shoes she left and I went to the register, leaning on the counter while Trin still stood behind it
