As soon as I came home from work today I had to get straight to doing my schoolwork instead of starting with my usual nap and after answering two discussion board and writing a simple 1500 word paper, I was just about done
"Whatchu doing now?" Dre asked over FaceTime
"I'm at 1496 words and ion have shit else to write so I'm tryina break up some of these words to make it longer"
"You look like you concentrating hard as hell"
"Cause I'm ready to get this shit done"
"How much more work you gotta do?"
"After this I'm done. I wasn't playing about getting this stuff done after I got off"
"I see that. I'm proud of you mama"
"Thank you boo" I responded and he smiled while I finished my paper and finally submitted it, closing my laptop afterwards "my fuckin back hurts..and you still owe me a massage"
"Oh yeah, I do. I gotchu when I come over there"
"Awe you coming to see me"
"Yeah, after I go make this money real quick"
"Go ahead and make up money. I'll be right here.. but don't take too long"
Dre let out a laugh while I heard somebody knock on my door causing me to get out of the bed
"I gotchu. Ima hurry up"
"Please do" I said as I walked out of my room and to my door, swinging it open but quickly froze when I saw Zoè standing there holding Layton's hand
"What the hell?!" I looked out of the door looking around and it was just them in the hall
"Get in here"
They walked into the house and I closed the door as the sat on the chair
"Dre, ima talk to you when you get here"
"Ight"
I hung up the phone and walked over to the chair
"Zoè how did y'all get here?"
"My momma" she answered as she rubbed her eyes like she was sleepy
"Where she at?"
Zoè shrugged "she got on the elevator with us but she told us to get off and knock on your door"
"Are you fu-.." I got quiet and let out a sigh before calling aubrielle then looked at them seeing Zoè rub her eyes again and Layton sat there with a pout on her face
"I'm hungry" Layton finally spoke
"Yo momma ain fed you?"
"She said you was gone feed us" Zoè answered as aubrielle's phone went straight to voicemail so I hung up
"Zoè you remember where the snacks at?"
She nodded
"You and Layton get y'all some of them snacks and something to drink. I'll cook y'all something to eat in a minute"
"Okay. Thank you auntie" Zoè politely thanked me as she got up and grabbed Layton's hand and let her to the kitchen and I walked into my room, calling aubrielle again, this time she actually answered
"What Ana?"
"You really did some whack ass shit like that? Forreal Aubri?!"
"Me dropping off my kids to their aunt for a couple hours? How is that whack Analise?"
