(A/N) I'll be updating later tonight! Please stay tuned :)
*Jack's Pov*
"I can't believe this is it. You're leaving..." I looked over at Shannon who had one arm pressed up against the car window, tucking her legs under herself as she sat criss-cross in the passenger seat. She blinked lazily before bringing the joint in her free hand back to her lips, parting them so that the smoke crawled out slowly.
Turns out Shannon's dad had been having an affair with his secretary, and so she was moving to her grandparents' house with her mom back in Washington. I felt bad for her, but I knew she wasn't phased by it. Shannon was kind of like me; we both found comfort in things that were unconventional and didn't love easily. That's why our "friends with benefits" relationship was ideal for the both of us.
"Don't get all mushy with me, you know I'll probably be back," she responded with a small smile, passing me the joint. I took a long drag and closed my eyes, keeping my mouth closed as I felt the comforting burn in the bottom of my lungs.
"How can you be so sure?"
"I'm not." Shannon giggled, earning a smirk from me. "I've got to go. Thanks for the sex and all." I watched as she took the joint from my hand and took a quick drag before handing it back to me with a wink and closed the door. I focused on her as she walked around the car and made her way to the door of her house, waving goodbye before closing it.
Shannon didn't know about Olivia and vice versa. I never told her of anything I felt towards Liv; we did what we had to do and that was it. There was no lovey dovey talk or feelings towards each other. But while Olivia and I lasted, I kept my distance from Shannon. She didn't deserve that; Liv didn't deserve being cheated on even if she did hurt me. I loved her, f*ck why did I love her.

3 Days Later
*Olivia's Pov*
"I'll see you in a few minutes." I pressed 'end', proud of myself. I was going to give Jack a taste of his own medicine; for always igniting a hint of hope in me and then putting it out too sudden.
I arrived seven minutes later, walking up to his front door. The house was beautiful; colorful flowers and lights lined the way to the entry. I took a deep breath and brought a hand to the doorbell, letting it hover. And just as I was about to ring the bell, the door swung open, revealing a red-eyed Sammy.
"Yes, I was waiting near the window for you," he spoke with a plain face. Time to leave, Liv. "Kidding. Come in!" I let a small smile take over my lips as I stepped into his house.
"It's really nice... Your place." I rolled my eyes at myself as I followed Sam up the stairs and into his room. I was hesitant to enter, but I felt comfort as soon as I saw it. It was exactly like Jack's; messy and plain with navy walls.
"Welcome to my crib," Sam laughed, smirking at me. I stood fixed as he waited for me to step in, but gave up and walked in himself, plopping down on the floor where a bag of what looked like cigarettes laid beside him. I watched from the door frame as he took out a lighter from his pocket.
"I don't bite. Girls are allowed," Sam laughed, moving his attention from lighting whatever was in the bag to me, making me uneasy under his watch.
I walked in and sat down beside him, tucking my legs under myself.
"Want a joint? It's a good stress reliever... I mean I'm not pressuring you into it but-"
"No. No thanks," I weakly smiled. Sam brought the joint to his lips constantly and I sat quietly. There was tension between us, and although it was strange, I didn't feel too uncomfortable.
"That Jack of yours... he's pretty lucky. But he f*cked up, big time." I lowered my head as I began to feel Sam's eyes on me and focused on my hands which laid in my lap. I missed Jack, but I wanted him to be happy. But I also wanted him to be jealous; I wanted to know that he cared for me. That's why I was here.
"Can I take it now?"
"Go right ahead." Sam handed me the lit joint and scooted into the frame of the camera on my phone. I snapped the picture and sent it to Jack with "Bet I'm having more fun than you ;)".
I knew this picture would cause even more hate between Jack and I, but as of now I didn't care. I wanted him to know I was capable of moving on; capable of forgetting him.
I handed the joint back to Sam who seemed to have had enough of it, and I watched as he smashed it down onto the ash try, putting it out.
"Thanks for the help." Sammy turned his head so that I could see his deep red eyes. He looked at me for a few seconds with parted lips before smiling and giving me a nod.

"Are you hung-" Sam was cut off by someone obnoxiously ringing his doorbell. "Ah shit." We both knew exactly who it was.
I tried to match Sam's pace as he ran down the stairs, running a hand through his messy hair before opening the door, revealing a seething Jack with clenched fists.
"Heyy bud. You came to join?" My breathing was heavy as I felt the tension between the three of us. I could tell Sammy was trying extra hard to anger Jack even more.
"Stop with the shit, Sam. Olivia, you're leaving now." Jack's voice was harsh as he looked at me, clenching his jaw after finishing his sentence. I gulped the lump that was forming in my throat.
"No, man! She does not want to be with you, especially right now." Sam stepped in front of me, and I took it as a hint to step a few steps back.
"I'm not playing around." The glare that Jack was giving Sam scared me. I had never seen him so angry before, but this was my fault.
"Awe, come on, we were just about to fu-" A rush of heat took over my cheeks and my eyes nearly popped out of my head as I processed Sam's words, knowing where he was going with it. It wasn't true, but I was too afraid to talk.
My attention went to Jack's fist as it collided with Sam's cheek, knocking him to the ground.
"No stop! Nothing was going on! Please, Jack, please stop!" My pleading wasn't enough to persuade either of them. Sam brought Jack down, sending countless punches to the sides of his face.
It seemed to be in slow motion; blood covered their fists and faces, sprinkling onto the white tile. But this was my fault; I caused this. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
"Baby, please stop! You're scaring me, please! I'm scared!" And just like that, Jack stopped, rolling off of Sam who was barely conscious. Jack stood up, wiping a bead of sweat coming down his forehead while trying to catch his breath. The instant he made eye contact with me, I felt tears forming at the bottom of my eyes. I was terrified of him; I didn't know half of what he was capable of doing.
"Car. Now."
"F*cker," Sam managed to say, rolling to his side while clutching his stomach.
