(A/N)  HELLO! I know it's been forever, and other than me having writer's block for the past three weeks or so, I have no other excuse as to why I left. This story is coming to an end, and there's only about ten chapters left! Anyways, enjoy!

SONG: Sleeping At Last- You Are Enough

*Olivia's Pov*

"Booyah!" I give my dad a playful, angry glare as he snatches all of my properties from the Monopoly game board.

"Who says 'booyah' nowadays?! I mean, Come. On." I teased.

"I do. So, BOOYAH!" He laughs, pulling the Monopoly money out my hands. We laugh as we clean up the game pieces, and I give my mom and dad a kiss on the cheek before running back to my room, belly-flopping onto my bed and being taken over by sleepiness.

A Few Days Later

"I saw my mom today..." I quickly turn my head to see Jack gripping the steering wheel tightly. We were on our way to my house from school, and I didn't understand why he wouldn't let me drive myself home. He insisted that "it would be his pleasure."

"How is she doing?" I genuinely understood how Jack felt. He had lost almost everything good in his life up until now, and his mom had practically been living in the hospital for the past several months. The fact that Jack and his dad were constantly at each other's throats 24/7 didn't make it any easier on him either.

"I'm hungry. Want something to eat?" I watch as he raises his eyebrows, avoiding my question.

"Jack."

"I just don't want to jinx anything," he gently responds, letting a large smile erupt on his face a few seconds later. I smiled, intertwining my hand with his, and from Jack's actions, I knew one thing was finally going for him; Mrs. Gilinsky was going to be alright...and so was Jack.

We arrived at my house several minutes later, and Jack shot right up from his seat, insisting I wait for him to open the door for me. It was strange seeing him act like such a gentleman, but I had to admit that I didn't mind it one bit.

The house was empty as we made our way to my room. That was our usual hangout spot. I opened the door and was stunned by what was awaiting me.

The entire ground of my bedroom was covered with pink and grey balloons, each with 'PROM!' written on them. I turned around to see him holding a bouquet of red roses that was hidden in his backpack, and I nearly made him fall to the floor as I ran into his arms, nodding my head 'yes'.

"You have no idea how long it took me to separate all the grey and pink balloons from the rest of the colors," he laughed, lifting his hand to show me his pink fingers.

"This was so sweet! You knew I'd say yes even without this."

"I was hoping. That's why I wrote 'PROM!' instead of 'PROM?' because I figured you'd go with me?!" He shrugged, and this must have been the first time I saw him unsure about himself when it came to talking to a girl, or me for that matter.

"You make me happy," I wrapped my arms around his neck, leaving a light peck on his cheek. I continued, "and upset. And-"

"Sexually frustrated?" Jack blurted out, smirking and giving me a wink. I nudged him playfully before running out of the room, Jack chasing behind.
