SONGS: MKTO- Thank you and Ed Sheeran- Kiss Me
*Olivia's Pov*
We were officially high school graduates, and I don't think I could have been any more excited for what was to come. For once in my life, I wasn't scared of the future; I wasn't scared at all.
In good news, Jack's mom slowly became stable, and she no longer looked at her illness as something that would have destroyed her life. She continued to support Jack in all the crazy things he wanted to do and became a happier person overall, and that was something anyone in her presence could see. Jack's father, however, made no effort to change his harsh ways or become more involved with him. He always told me how surprised he was that his parents were still together, but I know that deep down, his father had so much love for both his wife and his son.
My dad was also seeing the brighter side of life. His episodes were happening less and less every time, and I didn't have to ask him to smile for me anymore; he did it on his own.
On another note, Tommy and I were able to put aside all the crap that had been going on between Jack, him, and I, and things seemed too good to be true. Like I said once before, I always seemed to get this anxious, uneasy feeling that everything good in my life would soon crumble over, and I'd be a mess all over again. Fingers crossed, Liv.
Tonight was officially the first night of summer of our senior year, and as a kick start, one of Tommy's friends had invited Tommy, Lyd, Jack, and I to a party, and I didn't hesitate to say 'yes' to that invitation. Besides, it had been a while since I'd seen Tommy and Lydia. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sat on the steps of the brightly lit pool, admiring Tommy and Lyd. If any two people were meant to be together, it would most definitely be them two. I couldn't help but smile to myself as I felt Jack's arm wrap around me, sitting beside me.
"I thought you went to get us drinks?" I asked, a confused look on my face. He looked away, pulling me closer.
"I figured we could have a better time without that shit in our bodies..." I was stunned at his words; that wasn't the Jack I knew. But I agreed nonetheless.
"So, have you thought about what happens after summer?" I felt like I had to ask as we sat in silence, watching the people around us.
"Ah come on, Liv, I don't want to think about that right now," he sighed, swimming away from me and to the center of the pool. I followed a few seconds later and was surprised when he pulled me to him, seeming to not be pissed at me. "Besides, we have the entire summer together, and I intend on making it one hell of a ride." I grinned at his words, resting my arms around his neck.
"I'm sorry, I just feel like every couple has a set plan and-"
"I never go by the rules or "a set plan", Olivia Marie, and this I think you already know," he smirked, spinning us slowly around in the cool water. That was when I caught yet another glimpse of Tommy and Lyd, and Jack seemed to notice, stopping his spinning and looking to where I was.
"You know what I've always wanted?" I nearly whispered as Jack nudged his chin in the crook of my shoulder.
"Hm?" His voice was gentle and soft, leaving a slow kiss on my neck.
"A kiss underwater, with the person who's made my life much more adventurous, and just- simply indescribable." I wiggled out of his hold, turning around to see him face to face.
"Well... what are we waiting for?" He pulled me back to him before I fastened my legs around his waist. "1...2...3." I sucked in a deep breath as the two of us plunged under the cool, refreshing water, and Jack's hand guided my face to his, our lips moving in sync.

I threw my wet bikini into my towel, putting them both into my bag, before leaving the bathroom, making my way back to Tommy, Jack, and Lyd who were waiting for me so that we could leave together. But as I turned the corner, my eyes connected with ones that I hadn't seen in a very long while.
"Hey, where have you been?!" I awkwardly stood in front of Sammy, who kept his attention some place other than on me.
"Around." I noticed he spoke in an unusual monotone, and instantly, I knew something was off.
"What was that back at the hospital? You just... acted like you could see right through me." I crossed my arms, as if they were there for protection.
"He's clinging onto you now. Before, it was me that he always went to, and now he barely remembers me."
"What are you talking about? We're in a relationship, Sam, there's obviously a closer bond that we have in a relationship than a friendship." This must've been a joke.
"Were these your intentions all along?" I cowered as Sam's glare intimidated me.
"Are you kidding right now? Of course not, but I can't help what Jack wants."
"I'm not sure I believe that." He shook his head before walking away with both hands in his pockets, leaving me in a stance of disbelief.
