"You can't go in there." Jackson tells the concerned group in front of him.
"Is she ok?"
"No. She is dehydrated and starving. She passed out in the gym with the treadmill on 289."
"Oh wow."
"We have a gym?"
"I know."
"She is ok. She is getting IV fluids. But I don't think we should be in there when she wakes."
"Why?" April asked.
"She is going to freak out over how many calories there are."
"Oh."
"I'll go check and if she is awake, I'll ask if you guys can see her."
"Ok."
Jackson goes in the room but quickly comes back out.
"She's gone!"
"What?!"
"Her IV looks like it was ripped out and her feeding tube is on her bed. She ran away!"
"Ok. Page Bailey."
"I'm here. What happened?"
"Meredith went missing. We don't know where or how."
"Avery, Shepherd and Kenner, go look on the lot. The rest of you, look around the hospital. And someone page Addison. She needs to know."
Addison joined in on the search for Meredith Grey.
With no luck, they tried calling her. It went straight to voicemail, meaning her phone is off. Great.
Meredith POV
Shit. They know. I ripped my feeding tube and IV out and make a run for it.
I run towards Joe's Bar. I'm pretty sure he knows part of my past because I get drunk and spill everything. But I need to get drunk.
I need something to help me sleep. To knock me out. To make me feel numb. I miss feeling numb. But then I got better. Because of stupid Jackson. Scratch that. He isn't stupid. He is thoughtful. But still.
"Hi Meredith."
"Hi."
He already had a shot of tequila out before I even said anything.
"Another."
"You might want to slow down."
"Drunk now. Pay for it in the morning."
He gave me shot after shot. I was blackout drunk.
"Meredith, Derek just called. He said they have a missing patient. You."
"Don't make me go back. I'm running away tomorrow."
"Why?"
"What's the point anymore?"
"The point in what?"
"Bye joe."
"Give me your keys."
"Why?"
"I'm not letting you walk out that door and drive. You can stay here or you can call a cab."
"Call me a cab."
The cab shows up and I get in.
"Take me to Jensin Park."
