There you sat, it the dark bedroom watching the moon again as you thought about what he said.

"You are a murderer." It still ringed in your mind.

He wasn't wrong for sure, you had murdered over 20 people. They all had valuable lives, and you lost control over your anger and now their lives where gone.

You had hurt a lot of people, no wonder your parents never came to visit.

They probably never truly loved you anyway.

Anger started to boil inside you. If you had just not found that stupid death note, then you would not even have been made fun of, you wouldn't even be here right now! They made fun of you, they bullied you.

Why, why would they? Is there something wrong with me? You questioned yourself.

No.

Ryuk, this was all Ryuk's fault.  You looked up at the shinigami in pure anger,  almost like madness.

He gave you the death note, he cheered you on as you took innocent lives. He did this!

The anger started to build up, until it exploded:

"It's all your fault!" You screamed furiously at the shinigami.

"Pardon me? What the hell are you talking about little one."

"Oh don't you fucking call me that Ryuk, you made me into this! You made me kill those innocent humans!"

"I did not make you do anything." He replied irritated.

Those words hit hard.

You realized that was right, it was your choice. He just watched while you murdered innocent humans.

"Fuck!" You yelled.

It wasn't Ryuk's fault. You are responsible for your own actions, it took a minute for you to calm down as shame and guilt fell upon you.

"I'm sorry Ryuk, I shouldn't have shouted at you. You're not the one to blame for my actions." You spoke as your voice cracked because of the upcoming tears.

Your throat hurt, tears filled your eyes and your heart burned.

You couldn't contain it any longer. You broke down crying, covering your eyes with your hands as you fell to the ground onto your knees.

"It's okay Y/N, I ge-"

Ryuk tried to comfort you but he got cut off by the sound of the door opening and footsteps entering the room.

"I heard you talking and screaming, you didn't seem okay." L spoke, it almost sounded like he was sorry for you.

Disgusting, of course he wasn't.

You looked up with your tears running down your cheeks, eyes bloodshot and red. Your sight was blurry but trough the blur his face actually seemed worried.

You could not take it anymore. You just needed someone to understand, to get you.

"It probably because I'm not." You told him.

"Why?" He tilted his head slightly.

"Do you really need to ask?" You hissed.

"I understand, I'm sorry. I'll make you some tea." L turned around and walked away.

Well, you fucked that up as well. You really should start to contain yourself, instead of just pushing everything and everyone away from you as soon as you got angry.

With a sigh you stood up and walked out the door, into the large room where L was busy with a teapot.

"Sugar?" He asked, while looking up to you for a moment.

"One please."

You walked over to the small table where L was pouring the tea in the cups.

"Listen, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been mean, I had a bad moment."

"Don't worry, it's fine." He held the cup of tea up to you and you thankfully took it.

L took a sip of his tea, made a face and put some more sugar cubes in it. His hands were slim and his fingers long. The cubes made a splashing sound as soon as they touched the tea.

L took another sip and with a satisfied sigh he walked towards his usual seat behind the computer.

He stared at the screen for a few moments before announcing:

"We have a new case, it's quite an interesting one." He spoke as he slumbered back to his seat with his tea in one hand a a big pot of sugar cubes in the other.

"What's it about?" You asked rather exited.

Ryuk started laughing in excitement as well, when L said a case was interesting it was for sure.

"16 murders, including 2 children, they all died inside of a bank. No surveillance,
the bank was robbed, probably at the same time as the murders but none of the victims have any signs of trauma.

It seems like they all just dropped dead to the floor." L said with absolutely no tone in his voice, his eyes told different though. They almost lid up of excitement.

You noticed how he really got all of his entertainment out of these kind of cases, the impossible ones.

"Anything in the autopsy report?" You asked interested.

"Nothing, they where all almost perfectly healthy. They all died at almost the same time, maybe a few minutes between."

"How much was robbed from the bank?"

"About 20k, who would murder 16 people for a few moths worth of rent?" L mumbled to himself.

"Maybe the murderer really needed it."

"I don't think so, the money is probably a cover. He wanted to eliminate someone, and that person was killed in that bank that day.

Watari, I want all the information you have on the victims. We're going to figure out who was worth killing."

"Everything?" A voice out of the computer answered.

"Yes Watari, I want to know what they had for breakfast, how many steps they took and if they brushed their teeth. Give me everything you have."

"I'll send everything in a bit."

"Sounds like a lot of work, maybe it was revenge? we also need to figure out how the victims got murdered. That could lead us to the killer with a bit of patience, he probably killed them using poison." You rambled.

"I don't think it was revenge, as he made 16 victims including two children. But let's not jump to conclusions, there is no evidence whatsoever yet." He spoke calmly.

"I've sent you all the information I could get access to, it's in your mail." The voice from Watari spoke.

"Thank you Watari, alright Neera what do you think?" He asked as you scrolled trough the information.

You both sat in in silence reading for next hours, your neck started getting sore from all the staring.

You stretched yourself but it caused you to accidentally knock over a empty teacup. It surprisingly didn't break but you and L both went for it at the same time making your heads knock against each other.

You quickly pulled away as you rubbed your fingers against the painful spot on your forehead, L doing the same.

As you looked up into his eyes you burst out laughing, the moment was just hilarious and Ryuk's dying laughter didn't make it any better.

Even L let out a slight deep giggle before picking up the cup and putting it back onto the desk.
