Chapter 18

You sat in silence while taking a bite out of a still warm cholate brownie, it was quite filling.

You looked up to L who was taking notes on a pad, he'd never done that before because the kira case was so intense that he had his mind trained to remember everything. You saw a drop of blood splashing on the floor. L's left elbow was drenched in blood. His white long sleeved tshirt was ruined, nice.

"Ryuzaki, your elbow is bleeding again."
No reaction.

"Ryuzaki!"
Still nothing, he was deeply concentrated.

You stood up with a sigh. You tapped his shoulder, he immediately jumped up from his seat and looked at you. His face went from a slight shock to annoyance.

"Jezus, relax." You said now annoyed as well.

"What is it?" He now asked more irritated.

"Your elbow, it's bleeding again."

"Oh" The irritation seemed to have immediately left him and a slight concerned look on his face appeared.

You rolled your eyes, he was dumber then you thought.

"Do you have a medical kit?" You offered.

He looked at you questionably.

He really was dumber then you thought.

"Do you want to lose your arm? It might get infected." You said while raising an eyebrow.

"It's in the cabinet." He responded quickly.

You walked over to the only thing that could be the cabinet. There was only standing one hell of an ugly cabinet in the whole room. It was boxy, the body a pale grey and the top a bright green. You had despised it from the moment you hot here.

The way you felt about L started to worry you. You didn't actually want to escape this place anymore, well you did but you didn't want to leave him. L.

His name rang in your head as you pulled the doors of the cabinet open.

You shook your head in hope to shake his name off of you. The cabinet was filled with all sorts of stuff, pens, books, paperclips...

You frowned, there was a bright red apple in between the materials.

You saw the red medical kit behind it, you took them both with you.

The red kit opened with a zipper, there was a lot inside. You had no idea what to pick, there where several bandages and all sorts of supplies.

You just took a random one and some alcohol, L was now sitting a bit more relaxed with his hand on the cut in order tot try and stop the bleeding. That did not work, dark red blood dripped from pale hand. It was quite a beautiful sight, how the red blood stained his white shirt.

"I'll have to see the wound now." You ordered.

L started struggling to pull his sleeve up over his shoulder to expose his upper arm, this also did not work. He grunted as the fabric wiped over the now probably open wound.

"You can just take your shirt off if you're okay with that, I don't mind." You said quietly.

"Well you've seen me in just a towel, can't be much worse than that." He responded with a sigh while starting to take off his shirt.

His face squeezed together from the pain as he pulled the shirt over his painful arm, after that it was left on the floor.

You took a better look at the wound, it wasn't horrific but it wasn't pretty either. The cut was quite deep, but it was bright red from the blood, so no dirt or infection.

"Alright." You said. "It's not too bad, this might hurt a bit."

You poured the alcohol over the open wound and a squirm came out of L's mouth, his lips pressed together in hope to ease the pain.

You wiped away the blood on his arm, every time your fingers touched his cold pale skin a visible shiver went trough him. Eventually you bandaged his arm and sat in front of him.

You wiped away the blood on the palm of his hand and fingers.  He just stared at them.

There was a silence, but it wasn't uncomfortable in any way, but you broke it anyway.

"Would you like to go to that park again with me?" You looked up to him.

"That's the least I can do, how about we go to the forest?" Re responded in a soft tone.

You lid up with excitement, it had been too long. The forest was such a magical place to you, no humans, no ugly buildings or smelly cars.

"That'd be wonderful." You smiled.
