Chapter 15

"We'd like to apologize for the interruption, as of now we're bringing you a live worldwide broadcast from Interpol ICPO."

A polite voice came out of the laptop that was sitting on the floor, L was nervously pacing around it. His bare feet made a funny noice as he stepped on the smooth floor.

He almost hit the small microphone standing next to the laptop with his foot.

"You are nervous, why?" You questioned him as a grin appeared on your face.

L had to think about that for a slight moment before understanding that it was meant to be a joke after he had asked you the same thing.

"Your hilarious." He snarled full with sarcasm.

It made your grin turn into a smile that you couldn't contain.

The broadcast started making you lose the smile immediately and a voice filled the room.

"I am lind l tailor, otherwise know as L"

A slim looking man with medium long black hair stared right into the camera. That was the inmate, he was sentenced for today. His eyes were cold, a his low voice continued to speak.

"I will hunt you down and I will catch you.

Kira, I've got a pretty good idea of what your motivation might be and i can guess what you hope to achieve, however what your doing right now is evil."

Without moving your head your eyes quickly turned to L who was now sitting in his odd position in front of the screen. He seemed extremely concentrated.

A loud silence was the next thing that happened, the inmate just stared blankly at the screen as seconds ticked away.

You saw L holding his breath and you automatically copied this action, you didn't dare to blink.

Would Kira really dare to kill this man right here and now, you knew it was possible but did he have the guts?

Your thoughts were interrupted by the inmate groaning in pain, his hand flew to his chest.

Your heart skipped a beat as you saw the man lift his head up for the final time showing only the white of his eyes as white foam streamed down the corners of his mouth.

It was a horrible sight. The man finally fell down with his head on the desk he was sitting at, the thud made your muscles tense for a moment.

You took a deep breath as you saw L's eyes wide open.

"So it's true." He whispered just loud enough for you to hear.

He also took a breath as his finger moved to a button on the keyboard opening up the microphone.

"I had to test this just in case but I, I never thought it would actually happen. Kira, it seems you can kill people without having to be there in person.

I wouldn't have believed it if i hadn't just witnessed it. Listen to me kira, if you did indeed kill Lind. L. Tailor, That man you just saw die on television, I should tell you that he was an inmate who's execution was scheduled for today.

That was not me the police arrested him in absolute secrecy."

His voice suddenly got a louder, he was yelling at the screen while smiling widely.

"L is real, i do exist, now try to kill me!

Whats wrong hurry up, come on kill me! Quick, do it come on!

What's the matter? Can't you do it?"

L silenced for a brief moment.

"Aren't you a tiny bit scared of getting murdered?" You wondered while looking him straight in the eye.

L was acting a bit blunt even tough you knew Kira couldn't do anything against him.

"People can do worse things than kill you." He answered before continuing talking to his laptop.

That was a dumb answer, you thought to yourself. Ryuk might have laughed, you quickly shook away the thought of Ryuk. He was with that childish wanna be now.

"Well kira it seems that you can't kill me after all, so there are some people you cant kill. You've given me a useful hint. Let me return the favor." He sounded like he was having fun.

The next few moments L continued to explain to the screen how his plan worked, it made you wonder why.

Why would he reveal his whole plan to Kira, his arrogance sure was acting up.

"It wont be too long now before I'm able to sentence you to death, naturally I am very interested in how you mange to commit these murders without being present, but I don't mind waiting a little bit longer.

But it can wait until I catch you, let's meet aigan soon Kira.

L turned his microphone off and turned to you.

"I will hunt him down wherever he's hiding and I will eliminate him, I am justice!"

His voice and his eyes made a weird feeling go trough you stomach, it wasn't a feeling that was annoying. It was kind of nice actually.

"And I will help you eliminate him, we are justice!" That was kinda fun to say.

You both smiled as you took big bite of some left over piece of cake.
