Chapter Nine: Harry and Tony Worry

Harry saw Peter run by the security guard frantically. He had followed him to the office because Peter never gets in trouble, so he knew something had to be drastically wrong. Harry then decided to skip the rest of school and follow Peter to wherever he was going. He was quickly out of breath by the time he saw Peter enter Queens Memorial hospital. Harry groaned and suddenly knew what happened. He knew he wouldn't be allowed back to where Peter was going so he texted Ned and MJ the situation. He then went home early and waited about an hour to text Peter and say that he knew what was going on, and he was there for him. He didn't know that Peter had been kidnapped only minutes after he left the front of the hospital.

Six hours later and no response from Peter, he got a call from Tony Stark of all people. Peter was missing, and no one knows where he is.

"Harry, I know you followed him to the hospital, are you sure you didn't see him walk out with anyone? We're combing through the hospital's cameras, but you were there, please PLEASE tell me you saw something. Anything?" Tony plead.

"Stark, I'm sorry but all I saw was Peter going inside. I left shortly after. He didn't even know I followed him."

Harry begrudgingly replied. Tony sighed in frustration and cursed.

"We need to find him, May was all he had, and she trusted me to take care of him if anything happened to her, and within hours of her death, I have already failed at protecting him."

Tony was on the brink of falling apart and Harry was slightly calmer and did his best to calm Tony.

"Stark, it's not your fault, someone clearly planned this, so if you haven't requested it yet, you need to have May's body examined with an autopsy."

Tony sighed and said "Yeah. I requested that an hour ago after I found out Peter went missing. We just got the security guard that was on duty to come in. I'm going to stay on the phone and let you hear what he has to say too."

Harry listened as Tony ruthlessly questioned the guard. He heard the guy say he carried Peter to a woman named Emma's car and Tony lost what little composure he had left at this point. "What do you mean she was his emergency contact!? I'm his contact! Did you even check her information?! NO!? You know what? YOU'RE FIRED AND YOU LET MY KID BE KIDNAPPED BY SOME FAKE NURSE! NOT TO MENTION YOU DIDN'T EVEN CONTACT CPS WHEN YOU DISCOVERED SHE WAS HIS LAST LIVING RELATIVE! Get this incompetent idiot out of my sight."

Tony raged as the agents he called in when he discovered Peter's disappearance went to figure out just who Emma Lyman is.

Tony was fuming at this point and he hastily told Harry he'd keep him in the loop and hung up. Harry was extremely worried now. Who would want to kidnap Peter, and why would they want to? Harry let his thoughts dwell on those questions as the clock neared seven. He got up and noticed that his father hadn't got home yet. He decided to eat an early dinner and seek his father out and talk about the situation with Peter. He knew his father would work just as hard as Stark to find Peter, after all he never has been subtle that he loves his godson more than his own son.

Not so long later the agents came back with a report on Emma Lyman. All of her documents had been falsified about a few months ago. They have no idea who forged them, or who she even was. The agents informed Tony of this and labeled it an active investigation. Tony would find out who Emma Lyman is. No one messes with his mentee and gets away with it.
