Peter groggily regained consciousness. He groaned and was surprised when the lights didn't set off his senses. Wait. What? His spider sense was gone, he couldn't see or breathe well, and what is that around his neck?! Peter panicked slightly and sat up in the lavish bed. He clawed at the collar on his neck, trying to find a way to get it off. His strength wasn't working.

"I wouldn't do that much if I were you, son, if you mess with it much it gives off a heavy shock, oh, like that."

Norman said as a shock went off from the power dampening collar and Peter screeched. Norman winced at hearing his son in pain, but knew it was necessary to keep him subdued until he could cure what the spider bite had done. He knew his son would lose the improved health and go back to an asthmatic who wears glasses, but he couldn't stand the thought of his son being in constant danger as a hero. Plus, with the powers gone, Peter wouldn't be able to leave on his own, and he'd no longer have to restrain him with that dehumanizing collar. For the meantime, he slid a pair of Peter's old glasses through a slot in the glass and directed Peter to wear them. He also had one of Peter's inhalers in his pocket just in case Peter would need it too.

Peter panted heavily, put on his glasses, and confusedly said "What? Mr. Osborn? Why am I here?"

Norman smiled and tried to reassuringly say "It's okay Peter. You're home now. You don't have to worry about petty street squabbles or absurd bullies ever again. You're my son, and I won't have you risking your life to save others. You will stay here safe. I'll make a cure for the spider bite, then we can go from there, but under my care you'll always be safe. I know you'll try to get out at first, but even if you get the collar off before the bite is reversed this glass is made with Vibranium. I know you'll come to understand eventually son, just try not to fight too much. I don't want you to accidentally hurt yourself."

Peter looked at Norman like he was insane (which he is) and said "You can't keep me here. Mr. Stark will find me!"

"Yeah, I doubt that. I've made sure to cut off any loose ends that could prevent me from keeping you here. I'm truly sorry I had to get rid of May and Ben, but with them out of the way, it was much easier to get you home."

Peter was horrified by Norman's words and quietly said "You killed my aunt and uncle just to get to me. That's messed up, and I will never be your son!" he finished saying with malice in his tone.

"Son, that may be how you think now, but with time you'll realize that I'm right, and I did what I have done to protect you."

Peter grimaced, but didn't respond to Norman's words. Norman said his goodbyes and promised to return with a meal for him in the morning. On his way out he turned off the lights to the lass prison and that half of the lab. For now, Peter was left in the dark only with his thoughts and the lavish prison he was stuck in. Peter sat in one of the three cushioned arm chairs and pondered how he could escape from here without electronics, and how he could get the shock collar off.
