Chapter Fourteen: Stark's Hope

Tony was awakened by F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s alarm that signaled something happening to her code. He had passed out on the couch in his lab last night while combing through the camera footage. It was currently around Four AM, and he was groggily waking up to F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s extremely annoying and loud alarm. Tony went to his lab and projected F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s code on the screen. "Okay, Baby, tell me what's wrong with you."

Tony muttered to his precious AI.

"Boss, my systems are detecting a foreign communication coming through in my code. It seems to be a message that says 'Help. We are trapped at Oscorp.' and it repeats through my code multiple times in the form of Morse code."

F.R.I.D.A.Y. said in a calm and slightly worried tone.

"What? Oscorp! That can't be right. Norman wouldn't stage his own son's disappearance would he?!"

Tony frantically asked himself.

"I mean, I know Norman's not exactly sane, but would he stoop stoop low enough to murder and kidnap?"

Tony questioned rhetorically and F.R.I.D.A.Y. responded "It is possible, after all he did have his own wife sent to prison with no visitation rights to her son. Emily Osborn has also not been spotted since her prison term ended. Anything is possible Boss."

Tony grimaced at the words from his AI, but understood what she meant.

Tony read the lines of Morse code over and over and quietly said to himself "Peter, if that's you, I'm coming for you, and Norman will pay for his actions."

"Rhodey! I've got a lead. We need to stage a break in at Oscorp!"

Tony yelled while Rhodey rushed in at hearing the news.

"Oscorp? Why Oscorp? Does all the freaky stuff have to happen at Oscorp?"

Not even questioning the validity of Tony's discovery because he knew Tony wouldn't just run and pursue nothing when it has to do with his mentee. Tony snickered at Rhodey's extremely true words.

"Suit up, we leave in ten minutes. I'd say now, but I really need a bathroom break."

Rhodey smiled widely and said "There's my Tony Stark! Welcome back brother. We'll get him back today! I'm sure of it!"

Rhodey said and his words further energized Tony into taking action to get his kid back.

"Okay, for all we know, Norman may be expecting us, so we need to be stealthy and quiet." Rhodey said as Tony shook his head and said "No no no. I'm Tony Stark. I don't do quiet. Especially not since this is a rescue mission for my kid...I mean mentee."

Rhodey smiled at Tony calling Peter his kid and went along with it. He knew there was no way to stop Tony from doing anything, because much like Peter, once he sets his mind on something, he does it. They'd get the kid back today, Rhodey was sure of it.
