I'm The Son You'll Never Have

Chapter Eleven: Harry Explores

Harry found his father coming out of the elevator that he was about to get on to go find him. Harry sighed in relief and immediately started talking before Norman could say anything.

"Dad! Peter's missing! You've got to help find him! I know you love him like a son! Please, you've got to help find him!"

Norman pulled off a very good surprised face considering he knows exactly where Peter is.

"Of course I'll help find him. Let me go make some calls. If I figure anything out I'll tell you." "Thanks dad. That's great. I'll tell Stark you're helping."

Norman grimaced when Harry said that and said calmly "No, don't tell Stark I'm helping, he wouldn't accept my help anyway."

"Fine, but if you find anything, I'll have to tell him, he thinks of Peter as a son."

Norman grimaced after Harry left and he thought 'Stark has no right to think of Peter as his son. He'll never find him under my roof. Neither will Harry' and boy was he wrong.

Harry left Norman slightly relieved that his father agreed to help find Peter. He thought Norman's behavior was slightly more hostile towards Stark's name than usual.

'I guess he just doesn't like that Stark cares for Peter too.' Harry thought.

Harry went down to the kitchen to get a snack and along his way he passed by one of the employee break rooms. He heard two of them saying something about a new project being delivered to the underground labs today. Harry thought this was very odd considering he didn't see any new deliveries scheduled on his dad's itinerary for the day (which he wasn't supposed to know about either way, but what's the harm in trying to mess up a few of Norman's business dealings every once in a while?).

Harry's curiosity got the best of him so he decided to investigate what had been brought into the underground labs today. He stole the codes to get in from Norman's desktop when he forgot to shut it down one day last week, but this is the first opportunity he's actually had to do some exploring. He got on the elevator and put in the code that would lead him to the lower level floors. When he got to the lowest level he put in another code he'd stolen. He stepped through the metal door and saw where the loading dock for this lab's door was. He shut the metal door quickly and heard something banging on some sort of glass. He glanced around and turned on a switch that would light the back half of the lab. The lights flickered on and he saw Peter of all people behind the glass he had heard a banging coming from. The banging was from Peter trying to punch his way through even though he was powerless, so now he was stuck and had bloody knuckles. Harry and Peter stared at each other for a few seconds and Harry ran over to the door and said "Oh no, What did Norman do now?"

He could hear Peter wheezing a little and Peter said "Harry, you've got to get out of here and get help. Norman's gone mad. He killed Aunt May and Uncle Ben just to get to me."

"Peter I can't leave you here, how do I open this thing?!"

Harry struggled trying to figure out a way to open the glass door.

Suddenly Peter screeched "Look out!", but before Harry could move Harry's body seized at the feeling of a taser being stuck in his back. Harry went down and Peter was screeching at Norman to stop hurting Harry.

Norman turned around and grabbed one of the power dampening collars that acts as a powerful shock collar to humans and locked it around Harry's neck.

"The only reason you're still alive is because my son wants you alive, so be a good brother and get in the glass room with Peter. Oh, and Peter, don't even try to get out while that door's open, or Harry will be the one to face the consequences."

Peter nodded and was grimacing as Norman threw Harry into the room with Peter. He locked the door to the glass cage quickly and watched as Peter checked over Harry. Now, he had to report a missing child to cover his tracks. He never thought that the imbecile of a son he has would be able to figure out that Peter was here.
