TW: Shock-Collar

Norman continued working on the antidote for the spider bite and some other projects he wouldn't talk about while occasionally asking Peter casual questions as if they were actually father and son. He barely acknowledged Harry's presence. Eventually Norman left and came back with their dinner for the day and gave them each another bottle of water. They ate in silence and Norman took their plates once they were done.

"Hey, Mr. Osborn, would you mind bringing me a book to read? It helps me fall asleep if I read at night. I know there's not much light, but the bathroom light should be enough if I sit near it."

Peter asked while Norman said "Only if you call me dad." Peter reluctantly said with sarcasm only Harry could detect "Of course dad, I've wanted nothing more than to call you that."

Harry hid his snicker pretty well and Norman grinned like it was the best thing he'd ever heard. Norman grabbed one of the Genetics textbooks off the lab station and slid it through the hole onto the mahogany desk.

Peter said with some genuine excitement and more sarcasm undetected by Norman "Thanks, dad. I love genetics."

It took everything in Harry not to bust out laughing at Peter's obvious hate for Norman was expressed through his use of sarcasm. Not long after that Norman shut the lights off and left.

"Okay, I'm assuming you have some sort of plan since you asked for a book."

Harry stated the obvious.

"Yeah, but I got the book so we could go to the bathroom and pretend to read while using that little light to see what we're doing. We can't do it here because these cameras may have infrared systems. It's okay to talk openly though, otherwise we would have already been busted, so we know the cameras have no audio. I'll need you to help me get this collar off as soon as we go in there."

Harry gawked for a minute and asked "How're we gonna get it off, they require codes...OH wait now I know! You remembered that I got all those codes from Norman's computer! I don't know if I have one that applies to these though."

Peter smiled and said "These types of collars usually have about four digits. I have seen these collars in Mr. Starks notes about how they subdue enhanced prisoners in the Raft before. He saw me looking at them and told me how they work because sometimes they get out in the black market and he wanted me to know what can deactivate one in case I ever got caught as Spider-Man. The easiest way is the code, so hopefully we have one, or else it'll hurt a whole lot more if we go with my backup plan that includes a multi-tool in my pocket that Norman didn't confiscate."

Harry cocked his head and said "Oookayy. Not even gonna ask why you have a multi-tool on you since you would have had it at school when you weren't supposed to. I did catch a couple of four digit codes so we'll try those first."

Peter snickered and told Harry "I honestly just forgot to take it out of my pocket before school. I'd had it in my pocket because sometimes it would come in handy if I got stranded after patrol and couldn't use my powers to get home and could possibly run into dangerous people because apparently Queens is infested with bad guys."

Harry snickered at that answer and they both went towards the bathroom, Peter holding the book.

Peter sat down by the light giving Harry enough room to see the collar's keypad.

Harry tried the first four digit code he remembered and it didn't work, but it sent a small jolt of electricity through Peter so he stopped until Peter said "Keep going, it doesn't bother me. We have to do this."

Harry tried a second code and it miraculously worked, no need for the multi-tool yet. Peter took it off his neck and rubbed the area where the collar shocked him worst. There were really red marks where he was shocked by it. He could feel his powers flooding his system again, but didn't try anything because he still wouldn't be able to punch through that glass. Peter took off the glasses he no longer needed and sat the collar down and took out his multi-tool and worked on disassembling it.

"I'm going to do my best to get these parts away from each other, and with all this different circuitry, we should be able to make a communicator that can tap into F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s system and communicate using Morse code. It'll take a few hours, but I think I can get it all done before Norman comes back in the morning."

Peter grunted as he roughly used the multi-tool to break the demonic collar open. He started taking things apart and re-wiring other things and Harry watched Peter's engineering brilliance shine, only stepping in to help when Peter asked him to. It took him a few hours, but he did finally create some sort of communicator with the parts. He and Harry had been going back and forth sporadically so that the cameras would detect them still being there, so it had taken them a little longer than planned to make it, but should still have enough time to send their message.

Peter hurriedly punched in the frequency to get into F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s system. He had no way of knowing if it worked, but he went ahead anyway and started his message.

He tapped out in Morse code the sentence "Help. We are trapped at Oscorp. Help. We are trapped at Oscorp."

Peter tapped that message out a few more times and when done he hid the communicator under the sink, hoping that it wouldn't be discovered. He just hoped that F.R.I.D.A.Y. recognized the foreign code and alerted Tony. All Harry and he could do now was wait to see if anything comes of their combined efforts to get help. Harry and he waited and Norman came in not even thirty minutes later with breakfast. He turned on the lights, and there was no sign of their message being delivered yet. They could only hope it would be heard.
